How the First Peoples Lived (Predictions) They had lots of lakes. Would kill/hunt animals like moose and deer, and skin animals like that for clothing. Now there are crops grown, but in the past there would not be crops like these. Would probably grow vegetables, because of good crop land. With lakes nearby, there is lots of water to use. Rocks could be used for hunting and tools. With warm summers they would do most of the activities, and in the winter they would stay inside and get ready for the summer hunting. Children would use beaver tails for ping pong games.
