chart method that models the steps of a planned business
process from end to end. A key to Business Process
Management, it visually depicts a detailed sequence of
business activities and information flows needed to
complete a process.

message, timer, error, compensation, signal,
cancel, escalation, link and others. They are
shown by circles containing other symbols based
on event type. They are classified as either

a person or system. It’s shown by a rectangle with
rounded corners. They can become more detailed

decision automation platform. Camunda Platform ships with
tools for creating workflow and decision models, operating
