- Modelled a Plain Weave (Textile) Composite element in the software VTMS (Virtual Textile Morphology Suite).

Modelling, Simulation and Optimization of Torque arm and Plane Truss January - May, 2015

 Performed a Fully Stressed Design (FSD) analysis under 3 loading conditions to reduce the structural weight by 48%.
 Minimized the cost of the structures by obtaining a design in compliance with the optimal design parameters.
Fatigue Analysis of a Coke Drum and Fuse Pin in an Aircraft August – December, 2014
- Performed the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for components subjected to extreme heating and cold shocks in refineries.
- Investigated the unexpected failure and crash of the Boeing 747 due to fatigue of a fuse pin in a pylon.
- Estimated the number of cycles of failure using the S-N diagram and recommended ways to improve the life expectancy.
Topology Optimization and Sizing Design of a Beam August -October, 2015
- Performed parametrized Topology Optimization using MATLAB on a uniformly loaded beam to minimize compliance.
- Integrated the topology optimized model into a ‘CalFEM’ beam model and performed Fully Stressed Design (FSD).
 Achieved Weight reduction of 67.5% by implementing Constraint Optimization algorithm in MATLAB.
Validation of Paper helicopter models October – December, 2015
- Multiple helicopter drop tests were done to calibrate drag coefficient using linear and quadratic models.
 Successfully performed Predictive Validation of the simulation and experiment using ‘P -box’ Validation metrics.
