It was built in Pisan time. This building, a symbol of the city, is the most important landmark in Castello. The tower served as a defensive bulwark for the numerous attacks from Genoese and Moorish people. This is San Pancrazio Tower built by the Pisans and used as a prison by the Aragoneses.
