They are also less likely to be contacted by agricultural extension agents and use fewer farm inputs. As a result, plots solely managed by women tend to be less productive with smaller size and poorer management. The study recommends policies to improve women's access to education, resources, markets, employment and technologies to enhance their participation and productivity in Ethiopian agriculture and coffee production.
