The GEF Pacific IWRM Project aims to implement sustainable water resource and wastewater management in Pacific Island countries from 2008-2020. It involves national IWRM demonstration projects focused on watershed management, wastewater management, and water protection. Lessons learned will inform national IWRM planning processes to develop costed national IWRM action plans and mainstream IWRM. Implementation of national IWRM plans will focus on areas like replication of demonstrations, utility reform, and integrating water, climate, and habitat issues. The project also coordinates regional services.
