Vasil Levski High School of Foreign Languages was established in 1963 as a Russian language school and renamed in 1992, honoring Vasil Levski, a Bulgarian revolutionary who fought for human rights and envisioned an ethnically and religiously equal republic. The school currently has 780 students and 76 teachers studying Russian as the primary language alongside English, German, and French.
