This article discusses blended learning programs, which combine various delivery modes such as online and in-person instruction. It provides an overview of blended learning and presents Khan's Octagonal Framework for designing blended learning programs. The article describes different dimensions of blending, including offline and online learning, self-paced and live collaborative learning, and learning, practice, and performance support. It argues that blended learning provides benefits like extending reach, optimizing costs, and evidence that blending can be more effective than single delivery modes.
