• Never use a % without giving a sample size
• Always use the full dataset
• Don’t generalise
• Use the help that is out there

TOP TIPS
1. Find your “WHY” i.e. continuous improvement, better programmes, or funding and then
communicate your vision internally and to your key partners (NB. People focus)
2. Support from the top down (Board/CEO)
3. Build a team who are passionate, willing to be trained and supported to remove the
barriers, that will lead to internal buy-in (staff deployment and engagement)
4. Multi-functional – operations, data, quality, marketing & comms
5. Use of technology to enable (PowerBI, mobile database etc)
6. Take the time to action the insight
