5. Fo Guang Shan Monastery in southern Taiwan is the biggest Buddhist temple complex in the
country. The temple buildings are magnificent and spectacular, especially the Dafo (Giant Buddha)
Statue. During the period from the Chinese New Year to the Lantern Festival, Fo Guang Shan is
decorate with thousands of lanterns. The sea of lanterns is especially amazing at night.

佛塔基座設有簡報室、接待中心，提供各種資訊及陳列文物、書籍等，讓來山參
觀的遊客可在這裡歇息、閱讀、聊天、休息或喝茶。

32. 菩提廣場兩側分別種植小葉欖仁樹，樹下有「十八羅漢」尊像，分別是佛陀十大弟
子，加上迦留陀夷、賓頭盧、周利槃陀伽三位尊者，以及降龍、伏虎羅漢。
因為要合乎時代精神，倡導男女平等，另有三尊女性羅漢。第一位大愛道比丘尼，
是佛陀的姨母，第二位優波遮那比丘尼，第三位是蓮華比丘尼。

佛身有108米高，等於一般建築
的三十六層樓，光是頭部就有三
