Telex offers a variety of FAA TSO Approved durable, handheld
aviation microphones designed to perform well in the challenging
cockpit environment. Our line includes dynamic and electret mics.
D Y N A M I C : A wire wound coil is connected to the diaphragm. As
sound waves move the diaphragm and coil in a strong magnetic field,
an electrical signal is generated. The voltage of this signal varies with
the amplitude and frequency of the sound waves.
E L E C T R E T : This is the smallest and lightest of all microphone
elements. It is also the most effective noise cancelling mic and
produces the clearest voice transmission. Diaphragm movement,
caused by sound waves, translates into an electric signal due to changes
in distance between a fixed plate and a charged plate diaphragm.

noise cancellation and voice response in a durable case. A
built-in solid state amplifier is adjustable for proper
transmitter modulation. Includes straight plug, hang-up
bracket and hardware. Also available with a right angle plug.

mic, the 100TRA has a push-to-talk switch in front so it fits
the hand comfortably. Two-stage solid state amplifier
adjusts for optimum transmission power. Case is beige and
black with wood trim. Includes coil cord, right angle plug
and hang-up bracket. FAA TSO approved.
