This document summarizes 13 events from Book Two: Flight. It describes Bigger disposing of evidence from Mary's murder, feeling empowered by killing a white woman, framing Jan for her disappearance, the discovery of Mary's remains in the furnace, Bigger killing Bessie so she wouldn't slow him down, and the police finally apprehending Bigger as he was hiding in an apartment building.

1. Book Two: Flight

2. Event One
l Bigger went back to his apartment to pack
up all his cloth. Then he got scared because
he woke up his mother.

3. Event Two
l Bigger throw out the knife that he chop
Mary's head off. He putted inside the
garbage can.

4. Event Three
l Bigger feels stronger and invisible. He
thinks that because he killed Mary and she
was white.

5. Event Four
l Bigger is now saying that white folks are
blind, because it was obviously it was him
that murder Mary.

6. Event Five
l Bigger add coals into the furnace so they
won't see the body of Mary.

7. Event Six
l Bigger is telling Bessie that Mary is missing
and he took all the money for himself.
Bigger wants more money, so his writing a
ransom note to get more money from the
Dalton.

8. Event Seven
l The Dalton has realize that Mary hasn't
checked in in Detroit and now they are
suspicious that Bigger has something to
do with it.

9. Event Eight
l The Dalton has hired a investigate name
Britten. He was interviewing Bigger and
Jan.

10. Event Nine
l Jan got arrested for being present at the
time Mary had disappear. It was already in
the front page of the newspaper.

11. Event Ten
l The investigator, Peggy and Bigger were
in the basement cleaning out the furnace.
Once Britten shove out coal out the way
he saw bones and an earring on the floor.

12. Event Eleven
l Bigger told Bessie that he killed Mary and
Bigger thinks that Bessie is going to slow
him down. So Bigger Slam her skull with a
brick. And throws her body down a
airshaft.

13. Event Twelve
l The police is searching the whole town to
find Bigger. They all have warrant and
they are starting at the south side.

14. Event Thirteen
l The Police finally found Bigger hiding at an
apartment building. They threw him into
the cold and snowy ground. All the white
faults want him died.
