This document provides information about different brainstorming techniques. It defines brainstorming as a process of generating new ideas in a group setting by spontaneously contributing ideas without judgement. Some key brainstorming techniques discussed include nominal group technique, where members anonymously contribute ideas and vote; group passing technique, where ideas are written and passed around in a circle; team idea mapping, where a topic is explored through association; and directed, guided, individual, and question brainstorming approaches. The document suggests brainstorming can spark new ideas that may not otherwise be considered and involves listing, clustering, and developing ideas.
