during the year but in summer the number
of residents increases.

stream has shaped this land along the

We can visit the Church of St Isabel.
In this village there is a very big baptismal
font in the middle of the square, inside the
gardens; there is also an old beautiful
fountain, Mélida’s people call it ’’el pilón’’
where they celebrate an old tradition in
every wedding.

In Olmos de Peñafiel there is a flour and honey
museum.
This museum is inside a wheat mill.
This mill is more than 300 years old.

People can visit “El Empecinado” which
was a very important historical character.

We can see the romanesque church of
Vera Cruz.

wineries.
We can find an old fortress from the

Cuevas was defended.
