EASTER. Easter Delights: Joyful Celebrations, Colorful Eggs, and Sweet Trea...AbdurRahmanAhmad12
Easter is such an amazing time of year, filled with joy and celebration. It's a holiday that holds great significance for Christians around the world as it commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But Easter is not just about religious observances; it's also a time for family gatherings, delicious food, and fun traditions. Let me share some fascinating details about Easter with you!
Easter is celebrated on different dates each year, usually between late March and late April. The exact date is determined by the lunar calendar, which is why it changes annually. The festivities begin on Good Friday, which marks the crucifixion of Jesus, and culminate on Easter Sunday, which celebrates his resurrection.
One of the most iconic symbols of Easter is the Easter egg. Eggs have long been associated with new life and rebirth, making them a perfect representation of the resurrection. People decorate eggs in various ways, from simple dyeing to intricate designs. In many cultures, egg rolling is a popular Easter activity, where children roll decorated eggs down a hill, and the egg that travels the farthest without breaking is declared the winner.
Another beloved tradition is the Easter bunny. This fluffy creature is said to deliver baskets filled with candy and small gifts to children. The legend of the Easter bunny originated in Germany and was brought to the United States by German immigrants in the 18th century. It has since become a cherished symbol of Easter, bringing joy to kids all over the world.
Now, let's talk about some unique Easter traditions from different countries. In Greece, Easter is celebrated with great enthusiasm. One of the highlights is the midnight church service, where people hold candles and sing hymns. After the service, families gather for a feast, which includes a special bread called "tsoureki" and a delicious soup called "magiritsa."
In Spain, the city of Seville is known for its extravagant Semana Santa (Holy Week) processions. These processions feature elaborately decorated floats, called "pasos," which depict scenes from the Passion of Christ. Thousands of people line the streets to watch these solemn and awe-inspiring processions.
In the United Kingdom, Easter is marked by a variety of customs. One popular tradition is the Easter egg hunt, where children search for hidden eggs in gardens or parks. Another unique tradition is the Morris dance, a traditional English folk dance performed by groups of dancers wearing bells and colorful costumes.
Now, let's dive into some mouthwatering Easter treats! Hot cross buns are

He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

cultura, etc…..
Here in Spain, everybody know very well, the different
traditions related to our “Semana Santa” , but there many
different celebrations for Jesus Christ´s Passion…
3. We are going to compare our traditional Semana
Santa with Easter in England
4. Las fechas de celebración son las mismas, y el motivo
también es religioso…..
When is the Easter festival celebrated?
Easter is usually celebrated in April. However, there isn’t
an established date for it. The earliest date for its
celebration is March 22nd and the latest is April 25th .
5. Nosotros nos vamos a centrar en las diferencias entre las
tradiciones gastronómicas y celebración en las calles……
We will focus in two important aspects: gastronomy and
celebration in the street…..

Easter eggs
Chocolate eggs are given to children. The eggs are either hollow or
have a filling, and are usually covered with brightly coloured silver
paper.
Easter Biscuits
Easter Biscuits are sometimes called "Cakes", and are eaten on
Easter Sunday. They contain spices, currants and sometimes
grated lemon rind.
Simnel cake .
The Simnel cake is baked for tea, and is a rich fruitcake covered
with a thick layer of almond paste (marzipan). A layer of marzipan
is also traditionally baked into the middle of the cake.
Eleven balls of marzipan are placed around the top to represent
the eleven true disciples (excluding Judas).

9. And now, after all these delicious desserts, we are going to
continue with traditional celebrations in the street…..
IN SPAIN…
Most people go out to the street to enjoy special events, which are uniques in
our country. The most popular event is the procession.
In this peculiar event, many people watch figures representing the principal
chapters of the Jesus Christ Passion…
10. People in England enjoy these days travelling around their country,
and so do we here in Spain, but many people celebrate Easter with
other popular traditions like….
Morris Dancing
Morris dancing is a traditional English form of folk dance which is also
performed in other English-speaking countries such as the USA and
Australia. The roots of Morris dancing seem to be very old, probably
dating back to the Middle Ages.
In the dance men dress up in costumes with hats and ribbons and bells
around their ankles. They dance through the streets and one man often
carries an inflated pigs bladder on the end of a stick. He will run up to
young women in the street and hit them over the head with the pigs
bladder, this is supposed to be lucky (men)!
11. Easter egg hunt….
Although the tradition is to use dyed or painted chicken eggs, a
modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs
filled with confectionery such as jelly beans. These eggs can be
hidden for children to find on Easter morning, which may be left
by the Easter Bunny. They may also be put in a basket filled with
real or artificial straw to resemble a bird's nest.
