This document summarizes Dries Buytaert's presentation at DrupalCon Dublin. He discusses the upcoming release of Drupal 8.2 in October 2016, which will include improvements to block placement, menu changing, REST API, and JavaScript. Buytaert also talks about how Drupal releases new features through its use of scheduled releases, semantic versioning, and experimental modules. He reflects on his personal journey with Drupal and finding meaning and purpose in life-changing outcomes for others through both positive and difficult experiences. Buytaert discusses scaling Drupal's impact through programs like India's Campus Ambassador Program and the UK Drupal Apprenticeship Program.
When we design together - Sabrina Mach, Ammara Gafoor and James Emmott
From three distinct perspectives, this talk will contend that design is an activity undertaken by everyone in a software development team. It occurs throughout the process of delivery — not only at the beginning or the end — and it is a powerful instrument for learning about and adapting to the problems our work seeks to solve, which is a shared responsibility. Making the best use of our multidisciplinary expertise in the activity of design requires forms of collaboration that are too often disrupted by the role-based silos that keep us separated and weaken the valuable contribution our diverse approaches could make to our collective efforts. If you care about accelerating time to market, improving customer experience, or building happy and productive teams, you will want to know why and how it matters that we believe ‘design is in everything that we do’.

The document discusses how to effectively and efficiently bring products to market. It recommends using a well-developed process that moves projects forward constantly. This typically requires allocating more resources upfront during planning phases than is usually done. The document then outlines a six-phase product design process and provides an example of how following this process allowed a company to bring a new product to market from concept to production in under four months, meeting their deadline.

HCL Notes and Domino License Cost Reduction in the World of DLAUpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-and-domino-license-cost-reduction-in-the-world-of-dlau/
The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.
These topics will be covered
- Reducing license cost by finding and fixing misconfigurations and superfluous accounts
- How do CCB and CCX licenses really work?
- Understanding the DLAU tool and how to best utilize it
- Tips for common problem areas, like team mailboxes, functional/test users, etc
- Practical examples and best practices to implement right away
