Napoleon Bonaparte Hero Or Traitor
Your honor and jurey I am here to tell you why Napoleon Bonaparte is guilty of being a traitor to
the revolution. I think Napoleon was a traitor because of the way he led France during his time in
power. Have you ever got into an accident and had to pay a bill to cover it, this is what Napoleon
did with his country over and over. He brought Franceinto many battles they had no part being in.
He was selfish and wanted to take things from the other countries like land. That goes against the
ways of Life,Liberty and property. Going against the ideas of enlightenment was going against the
French Revolution. Because of his actions I think that Napoleon is a traitor. In document 1 you can
see how many battles he fought in his time at power. He

To Kill A Mockingbird Quote Analysis
A variety of lessons are taught to Scout and the reader in this award winning novel. To Kill a
Mockingbird by Harper Lee is about a young girl named Jean Louise Finch, or more commonly
known as Scout, growing up in 1930s Alabama, USA, with her father, Atticus, and brother, Jem.
As she faces challenges, she is given guidance by many people around her. Her and the reader are
taught how to communicate properly with people, how respect is given and gotten, and finally,
equality among everyone. The majority of these lessons (ignoring the misleading ones) are
valuable and should be remembered by everyone, age aside. They can help us grow as a person
and become more understanding and aware of people . Firstly, Scout and the reader are taught how
to properly communicate and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the characters that teaches Scout about this is Reverend Sykes. Scout meets Reverend
Sykes at her help s church. Sykes brings Tom Robinson s situation to everyone s mind and
decides everyone should donate money to help out his family through this tough time since Tom
is out of work. When all the money is collected, Sykes dumps it out onto a table and says, This is
not enough, we must have ten dollars. (Lee 162) Sykes is determined to help a man in need and
Scout and the reader grasp that you should always try to help a friend in need since they might
need all the help they can get. Secondly, Jem Finch, Scout s brother, teaches a lesson about how
to handle her family. Scout wants to invite Walter Cunningham over, but her Aunt Alexandra calls
him trash and refuses to let Scout have him over. Scout asks if the answer would be different if
he was related, but Alexandra says the answer would still be no. Jem then speaks up, ...you can
choose your friends but you sho can t choose your family, an they re still kin to you no matter
whether you acknowledge em or not... (Lee 300) Jem teaches Scout and

Hammurabi And Gilgamesh
Resplendent Royalty Noble and just, kings from Before the Common Era, Hammurabi and
Gilgamesh vanquished evildoers from their lands, with influence forever shaping their respective
society while being revered by friends and feared by foes. With legacy inscribed in cuneiform,
their legacy lives on to prosper, the impact of which is insurmountable. However, unlike The Code
of Hammurabi, The Epic of Gilgamesh...was not written by one specific author but evolved
gradually... (95). Nevertheless, Gilgamesh s core traits were not lost to the test of time,
remaining a ...powerful kind and an awe inspiring warrior (95). These two texts speak to the
testaments of what great men are made of and the how great societies are represented by equally
great leaders. Even though Hammurabi and Gilgamesh appear harsh in nature, they are virtuous
and capable kings serving the greater purpose of the people they represent. Consequently, the
mighty rule of these kings brought about the perception of brutality. In The Code of Hammurabi
for example, the penalty ... [if a] merchant is then proved to be a thief ... is that they ...shall be
put to death (The Code of Hammurabi 6). Furthermore, thievery as a common man would require
the value be returned many times over again; if one was unable to do so, ...he shall be put to
death. (6). Capital punishment was not only applied to thievery, ...if a sister of god open a tavern,
or enter a tavern to drink, then shall this woman be burned to death (15).

Hall And Warren And Henry 5 Comparison
Shakespeare produced works in tragedy and comedy that date back for centuries. Scholars can
take Shakespeare works throughout the years and fit them to the changing times. Edward Hall
and Roger Warren s 2012 scholarly edition of Henry the Fifth is an updated modern version of the
original Henry the Fifth. This versions focus is to modernize the work from a performance
perspective. Hall and warren provide the reader with plenty of information to help the reader
understand the text as a performance. Hall and Warren include text in the introduction by
subcategories about the backstory of the original Henry the Fifth, changes from the original text

In this section Warren starts with the opening scene where the audience would expect to see King
Henry as their first view because that is what the story is based off but after the Chorus s opening
panegyric, what does the audience see? Not the king in glory, but two ecclesiastical politicians . (9)
This is good information for the reader to understand that in the original story, although the focus
was on King Henry, the audience first sees what started the entire attack the politicians offering
Henry a bribe to invade France. (9) By Warren putting the backstory in his introduction and
including text about the opening seen if Henry V it allows the reader to get an idea of not only
what the play is about but begin to create a story or image in their minds of the play and character.
Warren s summary of the original play provides an abundance of information for the reader and
contributes to the quality of this edition of Henry V making it well rounded with information

Fenian Manifesto Thesis Statement
Fenian Manifesto
For this assignment we are to write a 2,000 word, roughly, essay on one of three documents. The
Fenian Manifesto, Parnell s Speech or the Objects of Inghinidhe na hÉireann. I have as such
chosen to do this essay on the 1867 Fenian Manifesto written for the failed Fenian Rising of the
same year. I will be focusing this essay on three specific areas, specifically the 1867 proclamation
compared to the 1916 proclamation on religious grounds, secondly the aspect of socialism and how
that can be seen in the Manifesto and finally to whom in society the Manifesto was for and against.
First of all, there is quite the contrast between the 1867 manifesto(Blackboard) and 1916

Persuasive Essay On Pet Therapy
Imagine you were in a hospital and your doctor mentions pet therapy and you decide to try it out.
Your doctor arranges for you to meet with someone in the morning to tell you all about it. Soon
after that, a dog and its handler visit you in your room and you are invited to pet the dog, play
with it, and ask questions to the owner. After the visit you realize you re smiling, less tired, and
more optimistic, and you can t wait to tell your friends and family about it, and can t wait for
tomorrow to see the dogagain. This is called pet therapy. Because pet therapy is popular today
people should understand the physical, mental, and social benefits before making a decision.
Pet therapy is a broad term that includes animal assisted therapy and other assisted activities. Pet
therapy is a growing field that uses dogs or other animals to help people recover from or better
cope with health problems such as heart disease, cancer, and mental health disorders.
There are lots of people who can benefit from pet therapy. People who can benefit from pet
therapy are people having denture problems, receiving cancer treatment, people in long term
facilities, people hospitalized with chronic heart failure, and veterans with PTSD (Post traumatic
stress disorder.) Not just people who are dealing with the struggling events can benefit from pet
therapy. The person s family can also benefit from pet therapy because they know the person will

A Study Of Changes Throughout Gene Expression
Epigenetics is the study of changes in gene expression which may be inherited with no changes to
the DNA sequence itself it may account for non Mendelian population inheritance patterns.
Transgenerational inheritance requires a chromosomal or epigenetic change in the germline
allowing the information to be passed on from one generation to another (Anway et al 2005a). In
order for epigenetic marks to be passed down, the gametes need to conserve their epigenomes by
avoiding two reprogramming events; in the gamete and zygote. DNA demethylation is avoided in
some genes called imprinting genes which retain their sex specific patterns. The environment and
external factors may cause additional information to be added on top of the genome. It has
generally been accepted that epigenetic marks are removed and re established in the preceding
generation, thus not inherited. Nevertheless, many studies carried out on model organisms are
challenging this concept and suggesting that this may not be entirely correct. There may be an
incomplete clearing of epigenetic marks resulting in transgenerational epigenetic inheritance. The
present generations where being synthesised in the womb of their grandmother. Therefore, does the
food my grandmother ate affect my development? Could the air we breathe affect our
grandchildren? Many questions are still unknown in the transgenerational epigenetic inheritance
field (Youngson and Whitelaw 2008). Phenotypic variation and disease caused by

Drug Addiction And Behavioral Or Process Addictions
There are many different types of addiction that people become dependent on and they are
devoted to it. There are 2 main categories of addiction, which are substance related addiction and
behavioral or process addictions. There are 2 main types of addiction, which are physical is when
a person s body is reliant on something after a while a person s body can crave it and then there re
psychological addictions which is when someone craves something so that is changing their mood
and feelings. According to Wikipedia, addictionis a state characterized by compulsive engagement
in rewarding stimuli despite adverse consequence . When becoming addicted it is being reliant on
a certain substance or an activity, physically and mentally. When addicted you feel as if you need
to have it and are unable to stop taking it. Substance abuse or misuse is when you are dependent on
a certain substance, most common substances are alcoholand drugs. When misusing substances it

tolerance levels than adults when it comes to alcohol, and that females have lower tolerance levels
than males when it comes to alcohol. Alcohol addiction is also known as alcoholism or alcohol

The Power Of The Nazi Party
Carl Schmitt argues that the role of myth plays an essential role in politics and that nationalism, in
any confrontation, will win over socialism. Schmitt s argument can be used to justify the events
that occurred in Germany during the late 20s and early 30s. However, even though nationalism did
play a key role in post hyperinflation Germany, it is far too simplistic to say that the only motive of
such events was nationalism. Events like the Beer hall putsch or the growth and success of the Nazi
partywere not solely because of nationalism. There were other factors that contributed to these
events such as the fact that Germany was in a terrible situation to begin with. Germany was in
chaos after WW1, and when the Great Depression followed, unemployment, inflation and food
shortage increased even more. Such events led to the growth of the Nazi party as Germans felt like
Hitler represented what many of them felt hatred of the republic. The Nazi party rose significatively
because of their usage of propaganda, their anti Semitism, their violence, their hatred of the Weimar
republicand also because of opportunism.
One way the Nazi party grew immensely was through their usage of propaganda. With such
propaganda, the Nazi intended to appeal their audiences with what they wanted to hear. Their
propaganda had a lot to do with their electoral success in 1930 since it was planned accordingly to
their audience, which mostly directed to workers. According to Richard J. Evans, in

Hummus Research Paper
Many people regard hummus as the most representative Middle Eastern food. But I have never
eaten hummus since I left the Middle East last year. There are several reasons for not having it
either in China or in America. It is hard to find hummus in China. People in my area barely know
what hummus is, or even chickpeas. After I came back to the US from China, I was able to
purchase the hummus in plastic containers in grocery stores, but I didn t buy any. When I saw the
hummus here in the US, I lost my desire to buy and eat because it is hard for me to relate the fresh
made hummus to the ones here sitting in the fridge.
So I decided to make my own hummus. I found a recipe online and bought most of the
ingredients from local grocery store and Tahini from Black Cherry Mediterranean Market.
Putting 3 cans of chickpeas, lemons juice of 2 lemons, a spoon of Tahini, a teaspoon of salt, 2
cloves of garlic, and 2 teaspoons of chickpeas liquid into a mixer. I like a little crunchy hummus
better, so I didn t mix it for a long time. I sprinkled some fried pine nuts and added some olive oil
before serving. It tastes much better than the ones I could purchase ... Show more content on

But when I tried the authentic hummus in the Middle East, I felt those that existed in the US

think of hummus after the experience in Middle East, I think of the little plate of hummus with
olive oil and different kinds of spices on top, or the little white container of hummus with
different colors of toppings you can choose when you ordered to go. Industrialized mass
production of hummus here is no more considered as a good middle eastern food in my mind. It is

Leaders Should Be A Successful Leader

about what needs to be done and how to do it, and the process of facilitating individual and
collective efforts to accomplish shared objectives. (Educational leadership: A reference handbook
2002) A leader needs to take control of its employees in a workplace. They should be a trusted
person, and also be a people person. Without communication, effective leadershipwill become a

The Characteristics Of An Entrepreneur
Our world is going through an entrepreneurial revolution. A lot of research has been carried in an
attempt to define entrepreneurship while more and more people are being encouraged to become
entrepreneurs. The following study based on the stream of literature and researches on
entrepreneurship focuses on the concept of the entrepreneurand explore his background, his
characteristics and the factors that influences entrepreneurship.
The Entrepreneur: A definition
Gartner (1990), while reviewing the theories of entrepreneurship notes that it is a complex concept
with not even an agreed definition of its scope. Although attempts have been made as early as the
eighteenth century to identify the role of the entrepreneur, opinions are still as diverse as they were.
On one hand there are stereotypical characteristics of entrepreneurs like they are born leaders,
optimists, charismatic, extremely self confident and they inspire people. On the other hand, anyone
who works for himself or owns a business calls himself an entrepreneur. There have also been
several debates to differentiate entrepreneurs from small business owners and managers
(Schumpeter 1934). The word means different things to different people.

My Family
My life was stereotypical. A mom, a dad, a brother, and a dog. A nuclear family was what it was.
House with a white picket fence. My days consisted of being in my fantasy world. Where stuffed
animals were pets and they had their own little families. Where I spent hours finding creepy
crawlies in the woods. Where watching my dad s favorite show was considered quality time. But
that fencewas only an illusion. Like many other families, that white fence kept in more than just the
familydog. It contained the secrets and lies. It hid the reputation of an unfaithful father. It created an
illusion of unity within our family.
Tears streamed down my red stained face. Wetting my cheeks then falling off the peak of my
chin onto the collar of my favorite pajamas. The small drops created translucent circles on the
material. I sat wondering the fate of my family. Questioning everything that had just happened.
My small mind trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle but only ending up with a picture

each shaken breath. My eye became foggy from the next wave of tears. The constant thumping in
my head proceeded. Thump. Thump. Thump. I wish it would stop. I wish my tears would stop.
Just everything needs to stop. Stop. From the eyes of another parent my display of sadness may
have looked like a tantrum of a spoiled brat and not the empty display of a child who feels lost.

Public schools across the United States open their doors to students each year with a mission to

Comparing Julius Caesar And Antony
Octavian and Antony No contemporaries could have possibly known for sure as to who the victor
would be from the conflict that arose between Gaius Julius Ceasar Octavianus, Octavian, and
Marcus Antonius, Antony. However, knowing what the ultimate outcome of the struggle was, one
may be able to look back into history and offer key reasons as to why Octavian was able to defeat
Antony. Ultimately, I believe there was not one key reason for Octavian victory. It was a
combination of Octavian s proximity to Rome, his favor with the citizens, and the elimination of his
opposition at home that all combined to allow his eventual triumph. Overlooking some smaller
details, it is first important to know that after Julius Ceasar s assassination that Octavian was named
his heir and returned to Italy to claim this inheritance. From here, he gathered military power and
allowed the senate to use him, in order to advance his political position, and he was sent to fight
against a rebellious Antony. At this point, Octavian did not try to decimate Antony s forces, instead

A glance at the table of contents is enough to show that the sequence of chapters is erratic and
closer inspection reveals that the scope of individual chapters is far wider than appears at first
sight. Philosophic doctrines (which, according to the author, are the basis of the talismanic art),
theory of magic, astronomical, astrological and physical lore, extensive directions for the
practice of the art, and accounts of the peoples by whom it is employed are jumbled together
throughout the book, with no discernible guiding principle. If a systematic arrangement is
anywhere perceptible, it is in the astrological and astronomical material, though even this is far
from selfcontained or methodically ordered. Subjects which belong together are separated (e.g.,
the geographical sections on pp.171 ff. and 394 ff.), long, discursive definitions, appearing in
unexpected places, further break the sequence (e.g., pp.78 and 343) . and there is a great deal
more to make the reader s task more difficult. This manner of writing may well be intentional,
whether to make the magical sections appear less suspect by interlarding them with theoretical
passages, or to make certain doctrines seem less strange by administering them in small doses, or
to demonstrate the equal validity of the magical and philosophical material, or for a combination of
all three reasons. At all events, a similar method of

How To Become A Writer
I have been asked what exactly I am doing with this blog, by several readers.
I am getting warmed up for now, working on my voice, working at the practice of writing. I have
always kicked around the idea of writing a memoir, but I struggle with discipline, structure, and
framing. I am hoping to gain clarity and direction as I write and share. The response from friends,
family, and the public is fueling my momentum. I am grateful to be welcomed into a community of
writers and readers. The last time I was part of a writing community I was attending a magnet high
school for the arts. The writers in my class helped me find my voice and save myself, during the
most pivotal year of my life up until now.

What s going on, you guys?
I was in a ratty burgundy recliner that day, a coveted spot. I had fallen asleep as had several
others, on couches, leaning against one another. Many of them went to the same, New Haven high
school. They went around the room, all complaining of late nights spent studying for their
semester finals, some up until two in the morning. My school was on a different exam schedule.
As everyone chimed in, I knew my silence would be noted. I planned on claiming I was sleepy
because of exams as well. None of them would have known. I did not want to lie about my home,
my childhood, my mother not one more time.
Brooke? Madeline and the class had set their eyes on me.
I sighed deeply. I was up until 4 last night. I stopped, maybe that was honest enough.

No. My mom kept me up until four ish I thought of the growl in my mother s voice as she
threatened to make me quit the writing program. To her, it was another lever to bend me to her will.

American Identity Essay
Historical events distinguish the change in the behavior and identity of a society. The United States
is no exemption from this idea, as the events throughout American history has shaped the behavior
and values of the American identity. Since the formal independence from Britain in 1783, to the
compromise that ended Reconstruction in 1877, American identity has changed drastically through
shifts in the American understanding of politics, ideology, economics, culture, and society.
The American identity in 1783 was the hypocritical unity of the white men in America whom
controlled politics, economy, and the social hierarchy. After the formal independence from Britain
in 1783, American colonists were focused on forming a nation completely different than the mother
nation from which they left. American ideology promoted freedom and equal representation of the
people and for the future generations in The United States. This focus on the values of the citizens
inspired a government that supported the idea that the government s power and authority came
from the people. This became the start of a new political drive as more citizens could vote due to
the increase of political representation for States within the Articles of Confederation. However,
Congress became weak as there was no power given to enforce treaties, collect taxes, set up a
federal justice system, or to create armies. The British government restricted the colonies to cut
trading, settling down in new areas, and

Comparing Hangman And A Hanging
Capital Punishment in Hangman and The Two Fisherman
In The Two Fisherman by Morley Callaghan and A Hanging by George Orwell capital punishment
is a major theme throughout the two stories. Capital Punishment is wrong and needs to be changed.
This is seen in the story when capital punishment has a negative impact on people s emotions and
religious beliefs, as well it should not be televised. Both The Hangman and The Two Fisherman
have people, who are criminals, that end up losing their lives through capital punishment.
Throughout The Two Fisherman story, there was a lot of mixed emotions from the characters. In
The Two Fisherman The Hangman is there to kill Thomas Delaney. Michael, the local reporter,
goes fishing with the Hangman to interview and get information from him. Michael is surprised
when the Hangman expresses little emotions towards his job. The Hangman says, I mean you get

Who Killed Jonbenet Ramsey Unsolved
The Ramsey family has always been big suspects. The death of JonBenet Ramsey has confused
the world and remains unsolved. JonBenet Ramsey was in beauty pageants and she is named
after her father John Ramsey. JonBenet Ramsey was found murdered on December 26, 1996 at
the age of 6 years old. She is buried by her mother who died in 2006, and her half sister Elizabeth
Ramsey who died in 1992 due to a car crash. Her parents became suspects in 1997. After research
the Ramsey family was said to be not related to the actual murderer. (JonBenet Ramsey Murder

possibly from a flashlight. Was possibly assaulted, and strangled by a garrote made from one of
Patsy s paint brushes. (JonBenet Ramsey Biography) To this day no one knows who killed

reason is because it is said that sometimes Patsy Ramsey would flip a switch in a room, and slam

investigators also think that Patsy could have killed her daughter because the rope around
JonBenet s neck was made by a homemade garrote determined to have been fashioned out of a
paintbrush taken from Patsy s paint kit that laid near JonBenet when she was found. A very big
possibility is that the letter left on the staircase steps could have been from Patsy after realizing
that she had killed JonBenet. When investigators looked around for possible evidence they found
that the pen that had been used to write the note was from inside the house. (Who Killed JonBenet

Why Did The Stock Market Crash
On October 24, 1929 the Stock Market Crashed causing the economy to fall. This brought the
nation to its lowest point, called the Great Depression. This had a huge negative effect on the
United States and on many families. Most of the United States capital was represented by stocks
and when it crashed most of the money was gone and the economy plunged. The Stock Market
crashed because Americans thought it was a quick and easy way to get rich. They were caught
up in the fact of living wealthy and not having any struggles.1 People that have invested in the
stocks and owned shares sold them to make money. Inexperienced investors expected to get
wealthy quick in the growing market. This was ineffective because the shares didn t sell for
much. Stocks fell from $2, $5 and $10 and plunged $11 billion in the first 3 hours of trading. On

When I signed up for French, I naturally but incorrectly assumed that I would learn about all things
French. But my second language study started as many high school students did: it was the mid 80

arduous task of memorizing vocabulary, conjugating verbs, and decoding simple sentences with
no cultural context whatsoever. While I didn t find French to be particularly difficult, I wasn t
enthusiastic about rote memorization. When I was given an opportunity to drop French in order

How Did Korai Influence Ancient Greek Culture
Two elemental pillars of ancient Greek culture included religion and burial or death. The Archaic
Greeks cultivated an interest in monumentalizing and preserving statues in stone that shaped both
how they paid their respects to the gods and how they honored their dead. A popular style of this
stone creation, in the period between 640 BC and 470 BC, was korai statues (Barringer 150). These
Archaic figures are significant because of their stylization, functions in sanctuaries, and role in the
mortuary sphere. Korai statues were exclusively young females that embodied maidens and
represented the idealization that ancient Greekshad of youth. Similarly, statues of young men, called
kouroi, also depicted youthfulness. However, kouroi... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Ukraine-Russia Gas Disputes
Ukraine and Russia Gas Conflict
Abstract
In the recent years, the relations between Ukraine and Russia have been hostile. Russia is the
largest producer of gas while Ukraine is the largest importer of the same commodity from Russia.
Gas fro Russia to the EU countries, east and southern Europe passes through the Ukrainian territory
and Russia has to pay transit fee. It is this issue of the supply and prices of gas that precipitated a
very big conflict between the two countries and the impact was felt allover Europe. In this paper, the
historical background of the issue, the current sate of the conflict, the solutions to the conflict; the
future of gas supply and the effects of the 2009 conflict to Europe will be addressed.

This forced Ukrainian companies to make illegal gas diversion from transit pipelines. In 1994,
an intergovernmental agreement was made on the gas issue and it included a clause that stated
that Gazprom would participate in the process of privatization of gas enterprises and others in
other sectors (Nichol and Steven 1 6). It was agreed that Gazprom would take a 51 percent stake
in the pipeline infrastructure. In 1995, the two countries agreed to come up with a cooperative
company that they would call Gaztransit so as to operate the Ukrainian gas assets in exchange
for a debt write off. Neither of the agreements was implemented, in fact, Ukraine adopted a law
called the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine that disallowed the privatization of any gas and oil asset in
Ukraine (Brzezinski and Brzezins 150).
Three years later, Gazprom and Naftohaz established various contracts where Gazprom would
pay for transit with a certain volume of gas creating a link involving gas prices and tariffs for
transit. Nonetheless, this contract never resolved any of the debt disputes and the siphoning of
gas from the pipelines continued. The debt concern was resolved on the fourth of October in the
year 2001 when the additional measures that centered on the transit of Russian gas through
Ukraine was signed by an intergovernmental agreement. By the year 2005, in excess of 70 percent
of Gazprom revenue came form the sale of gas that used to pass via Ukraine. The gas trading

Resident Evil 5 Representation
Resident Evil 5, which is known as Biohazard 5 in Japan, is a survival horror video game
developed and published by a digital company named Capcom (Snow, 2008: 1). The game was
released on the 5th of March in 2009. The plot of Resident Evil revolves around characters
named Chris Redfield the white middle aged male protagonist and Sheva Alomar the middle aged
female character that serves to support Chris (Snow, 2008: 1). It also revolves around their
investigation of a terrorist threat in Kijuju, which is a fictional region in Africa (Snow, 2008: 1). In
this essay, the question of how representation of the other embodies relations of power is explored
using Resident Evil5 and using Stuart Hall s theories, namely, representation, binary oppositions,
stereotypes and naturalization to conclude how representation of the other carries relations of power.

Representation is the act of portraying or depicting something (Merriam Webster s Online
Dictionary 2014)). According to Stuart Hall, it means using language to say something meaningful
about, or to present for the second time, the world meaningfully to the other people (Hall, 1997:
259). Hall further states that there is a fixed connection between power which he defines as the
ability to control people or things, that can radiate from both dominant and the dominated (Hall,
1997: 261) and representation. In conclusion, Hall s idea is that in the context of representation, the
circularity of power is critical. In Resident Evil 5, a number of things such as the African continent
and the people living in it are represented as the other from the normal western society, which
embodies relations of power in a sense that the power radiates from the normal western society
towards the subordinate other, which in this context is the African continent and its people. When

Moreover, the Ancient Greeks who acted with these substances were punished by becoming a

present day, doping is still used to a great extent. However, we have much stronger substances
that are commonly abused. These substances consist of deadly steroids by the use of injections
or pills. Claudia Reardon and Shane Creado (2014) explain, In 1998, police found a large
number of prohibited substances, including ampoules of erythropoietin, in a raid during the Tour
de France (History of Doping in Athletes, para. 10). In today s generation, law enforcement
officers are taking action and busting individuals that have or are taking performance enhancing
drugs. One of the most recent cases of drug busts involved gold medal olympian Usain Bolt.
According to the CNN Library (2017), The IOC [International Olympic Committee] rules that
Usain Bolt s 2008 gold medal in the 4x100m relay no longer counts after one of his teammates

organizations that have been created to crack down and bust people that abuse substances for

noting that what he hears is the voice of its current speaking powerfully and purely. Siddhartha
dies in the water, but becomes reborn anew. Through this, he obtains his salvation and achieves his
harmonious relationship with the world, which is nirvana. Through contemplation of the river,
Siddhartha learns to understand every aspect of life. He notices that it exists always the same and
yet at every moment new. This symbolizes the circle of life. The river also brought little
Siddhartha and Govinda both to Siddhartha. The defiance of his son resembles his own towards his
father , which demonstrates life s full circle. He and Govinda are later reunited by the river after
taking separate paths. Furthermore, the river teaches Siddhartha that time has no existence; it just
flows eternally. His soul, even after death, shall continue to flow eternally. Throughout the story the
river guides Siddhartha, enabling him to find oneness among his experiences. As Siddhartha
achieves his peace and self through the river, he smiles as the perfect Buddha does, for he has

Analysis Of Kingdom Of Heaven
Regardless of how one feels about Kingdom of Heaven in terms of its quality, the film undoubtedly
takes a unique approach in its portrayal of the crusades. Although some critics have bemoaned the
film for its historical inaccuracies and the way in which it presents Islam, such detractors are
excessively dogmatic in their baseless scrutiny. In addition to their assessment of Kingdom of
Heavenbeing unfounded, they fail to understand one of the broader notions expressed, which is the
view that morality is not black and white: individuals are capable of doing both good and evil. This
key theme shown throughout the movie is especially compelling since it not only applies to the
Crusadesbut also to the modern world.
Throughout the movie, the director, Ridley Scott, emphasizes the complex moral landscape of the
Crusades to enhance the quality of the story. As best put by Peter Stanford in his review, Kingdom
of Heaven is, however, no run of the mill variation on the popular theme of the historical thriller...
Instead, Scott has directed a complex modern morality play (Stanford, Screen god ). One way he
blurs the moral lines is the way in which he presents the force invading Jerusalem. Scott could have
taken the easy route and made the Muslim invaders the stereotypical evil villains of the film.
Instead, he presents the audience with a more nuanced view; even though the Muslim leader,
Saladin, does try to violently conquer the city of Jerusalem, he is also merciful. He sends

The History Of Musicals On Stage Is Broad And Extensive. There
The history of musicals on stage is broad and extensive. There are many different histories of stage
musicals: French operettas, Grecian plays, and Roman comedies are just a few. However, I am
going to focus on American musicals. The musical that many Americans are familiar with has its
roots in the French and Viennese operettas of the 1800s, but take their comic style from American
Variety and Minstrel Shows, which led to Vaudeville and Burlesque shows. Known to be the first
American musical, The Black Crook , produced in 1866, proved how profitable the musical theater
could be in the United States. After that the American musical really burst forth, with full length
burlesque shows and British imports of musicals, like... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The movie Singing in the Rain (1952) even offered a lighthearted depiction of Hollywood in the
late 1920s where the focus was on the transition from silent films to talkies . From the beginning,
audiences embraced screen musicals with tremendous enthusiasm, with The Jazz Singer (1927)
bringing in a slew of newcomer audiences as well as the usual stage musical goers. Even though
the stock market crash of 1929 caused almost a third of movies theaters in the U.S. to shut down,
the industry survived (but barely), because the public would use the few pennies they had to go
see a film that would make them forget the Depression for an hour and a half. Because of this,
film musicals attempted to provide happy and uplifting types of musicals, but they were not
extremely successful. Fast forward to 1933, when the Warner Bros. Studios gave audiences
dance infused musicals, including Forty Second Street , where Busby Berkeley took his
reputation and experience as a dance director for several Broadway shows and helped rebuild
film musicals rapport. Due to the fact that, in the 1940s, America was fully focused on World War
II in one way or another, Yankee Doodle Dandy was produced in 1942 by Warner Bros. Studios,
and was a musical biography of George M. Cohan, The Man Who Owned Broadway . This musical
highlighted the American patriotism and values that many

Evaluation Of A Web Application Performance Tool Essay
Introduction
Complete testing of a web based system can help address issues for example; the basic
functionality of the site, its accessibility to handicapped users and fully able users, the security of
the web application, its ability to adapt to the multitude of devices, desktops, and operating
systems, as well as readiness for the additional expected traffic and the ability to survive in a
massive user traffic, both of which are identified with load testing.
We will talk about different ways to test and experiment websites in an efficient and organized
manner. WAPT tends to simulate virtual users which will repeat either specified URL or recorded
URLs and allows the users to specify the iterations that the virtual users must repeat the recorded
URLs. Thus, the tool is used to check for bottlenecks and performance leakages in the website or
web application. The technology we have today made our job easier and feasible to test one s idea
and insights, cheaply and quickly.
Web application performance tool:
A web application performance tool (WAPT) is utilized to test web related interfaces and web
applications. These tools are used for load and stress testing of web applications, performance,
websites, web servers, web API, and other web interfaces. A WAPT faces various challenges during
testing and should be able to conduct tests for:
Operating System compatibility
Browser compatibility
Windows application compatibility where required

Dumb Transgende Stereotypes In Media
Stereotypes are prominent in all aspects of the media. These stereotypes almost always have a
negative connotation and although there is sometimes truth behind a stereotype, they are almost
always based on constructions. The stereotypes in the media are visual therefore they allow the
viewer to engage with it and take in its meaning. In countless films and television shows, blondes
are represented as being unintelligent. This dumb blonde stereotypeis the idea that blonde haired
people are less intelligent than those of darker hair. Although there is no scientific proof that
blondes are less smart than those of other hair colors it still seems to be one of the most popular
stereotypesportrayed in the media.
The dumb blonde stereotype also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Sturken and Cartwright s essay Modernity: Spectatorship, Power and Knowledge they discuss
the gaze and that it is to look or stare, often with eagerness or desire (76). Sturken and Cartwright
also use Laura Mulvey s idea of the male gaze as an example. Mulvey proposed that the
conventions of popular narrative cinema are structured by a patriarchal unconscious, positioning
woman represented in films as objects as a male gaze (76). The male gaze is closely related to
the stereotype of the dumb blonde. The character of the dumb blonde is always represented as
highly sexual and attractive and is, therefore, the misogynistic male viewer. The blonde woman
has put in films as the weak, helpless, stupid character. This is a result of the male gaze because
women are seen as inferior to men in all aspects and are there solely for the males entertainment.
Since this stereotype is so prominent in the media it has circulated into everyday society. In Gilman
s essay What are Stereotypes and Why Use Texts to Study Them? he states that everyone creates
stereotypes... the creation of stereotypes is a concomitant of the process by which all human beings
become individuals (17).

Inequality Between The Authoritarian Teacher And Students
2.22 Inequality of Intelligence
The hierarchical power relationship between the authoritarian teacher and students inherently stands
in opposition to the equality of intelligence. Probing further in the direction of intelligence,
authority is constructed on the ground of a certain form of inequality between who is intelligent
and who is not (Tocqueville et al., 2000). This premise of inequality in intelligenceis enacted
throughout the educational process in traditional teaching. According to RanciГЁre (1991), the
pedagogical myth divides intelligence into two, a superior intelligence and an inferior one (p.7).
The superior intelligence knows things by reason, proceeds by method, from the simple to the
complex, from the part to the whole , whereas the inferior intelligence registers perceptions by
chance, retains them, interprets and repeats them empirically, within the closed circle of habit and
need (ibid.). An authoritarian teacher may take this binary conception of intelligence for granted,
maintaining that s/he has a superior intelligence while students have an inferior one. S/he is likely
to present him/herself as the necessary opposite of the students. By considering the students as less
intelligent beings with immature minds, s/he claims his or her own superior intelligence: s/he is
the one being capable of opening the curtains that hide the true meaning of the knowledge. S/he
attempts to convince his or her students that s/he has direct access to the knowledge.

The Writing Of History Is Not An Easy Task That Can Make...
Any fool can make history, but it takes a genius to write it. Oscar Wilde states that the writing of
history is not an easy task that can be executed well by many. This is evident in the biases that
are incorporated into many authors writings on history. For instance, newspaper articles are
typically littered with various biases depending on the origin of the author. Different people are
raised to look at the world from different perspectives, so not everyone will have the same
opinions on the matter of a specific topic. Consequently, readers are subjected to opinionated
articles which may be biased towards a certain position that may either adulate or belittle the
subject, depending on the author s position on the topic. This essay will highlight the biases that
occur in histiography in everyday writing and how they may affect how audiences perceive a
certain event in history. Specifically, an international event that was reported by various
different countries is Saudia Arabia s decision to execute Prince Turki bin Sad al Kabir. This
event occured on October 18, 2016. Executing a member of the royal family is considered to be
rare in Saudia Arabia, as the last time it has happened was in 1975, where Faisal bin Musaid bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud was beheaded for taking the life of King Faisal. (North Korea Times, October
20, 2016). The method in which the prince was executed was not revealed to the public, but other
cases of the death sentence in Saudia Arabia were

Hummel s Letter To The Nebraskan Dutchman

the door, since he was the last one out of the four to leave the room, Action Andy felt that it was
then time for him to address his complaints to the Nebraskan Dutchman, and most especially,
Kemp, because he was one who kept all the Nebraskan RGA sympathizers together. Correct me if I
am wrong, but is it true that you are aware that there is this plan, which was formulated by one of
your fellow sympathizers in negotiating with the Dominion over the safe recovery of the

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is about a young girl named Jean Louise Finch, or more commonly known as Scout, growing up in 1930s Alabama, USA, with her father, Atticus, and brother, Jem. As she faces challenges, she is given guidance by many people around her. Her and the reader are taught how to communicate properly with people, how respect is given and gotten, and finally, equality among everyone. The majority of these lessons (ignoring the misleading ones) are valuable and should be remembered by everyone, age aside. They can help us grow as a person and become more understanding and aware of people . Firstly, Scout and the reader are taught how to properly communicate and... • 10. A Study Of Changes Throughout Gene Expression Epigenetics is the study of changes in gene expression which may be inherited with no changes to the DNA sequence itself it may account for non Mendelian population inheritance patterns. Transgenerational inheritance requires a chromosomal or epigenetic change in the germline allowing the information to be passed on from one generation to another (Anway et al 2005a). In order for epigenetic marks to be passed down, the gametes need to conserve their epigenomes by avoiding two reprogramming events; in the gamete and zygote. DNA demethylation is avoided in some genes called imprinting genes which retain their sex specific patterns. The environment and external factors may cause additional information to be added on top of the genome. It has generally been accepted that epigenetic marks are removed and re established in the preceding generation, thus not inherited. Nevertheless, many studies carried out on model organisms are challenging this concept and suggesting that this may not be entirely correct. There may be an incomplete clearing of epigenetic marks resulting in transgenerational epigenetic inheritance. The present generations where being synthesised in the womb of their grandmother. Therefore, does the food my grandmother ate affect my development? Could the air we breathe affect our grandchildren? Many questions are still unknown in the transgenerational epigenetic inheritance field (Youngson and Whitelaw 2008). Phenotypic variation and disease caused by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. The Power Of The Nazi Party Carl Schmitt argues that the role of myth plays an essential role in politics and that nationalism, in any confrontation, will win over socialism. Schmitt s argument can be used to justify the events that occurred in Germany during the late 20s and early 30s. However, even though nationalism did play a key role in post hyperinflation Germany, it is far too simplistic to say that the only motive of such events was nationalism. Events like the Beer hall putsch or the growth and success of the Nazi partywere not solely because of nationalism. There were other factors that contributed to these events such as the fact that Germany was in a terrible situation to begin with. Germany was in chaos after WW1, and when the Great Depression followed, unemployment, inflation and food shortage increased even more. Such events led to the growth of the Nazi party as Germans felt like Hitler represented what many of them felt hatred of the republic. The Nazi party rose significatively because of their usage of propaganda, their anti Semitism, their violence, their hatred of the Weimar republicand also because of opportunism. One way the Nazi party grew immensely was through their usage of propaganda. With such propaganda, the Nazi intended to appeal their audiences with what they wanted to hear. Their propaganda had a lot to do with their electoral success in 1930 since it was planned accordingly to their audience, which mostly directed to workers. According to Richard J. Evans, in ... • 13. Hummus Research Paper Many people regard hummus as the most representative Middle Eastern food. But I have never eaten hummus since I left the Middle East last year. There are several reasons for not having it either in China or in America. It is hard to find hummus in China. People in my area barely know what hummus is, or even chickpeas. After I came back to the US from China, I was able to purchase the hummus in plastic containers in grocery stores, but I didn t buy any. When I saw the hummus here in the US, I lost my desire to buy and eat because it is hard for me to relate the fresh made hummus to the ones here sitting in the fridge. So I decided to make my own hummus. I found a recipe online and bought most of the ingredients from local grocery store and Tahini from Black Cherry Mediterranean Market. Putting 3 cans of chickpeas, lemons juice of 2 lemons, a spoon of Tahini, a teaspoon of salt, 2 cloves of garlic, and 2 teaspoons of chickpeas liquid into a mixer. (Educational leadership: A reference handbook 2002) A leader needs to take control of its employees in a workplace. They should be a trusted person, and also be a people person. A lot of research has been carried in an attempt to define entrepreneurship while more and more people are being encouraged to become entrepreneurs. The following study based on the stream of literature and researches on entrepreneurship focuses on the concept of the entrepreneurand explore his background, his characteristics and the factors that influences entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneur: A definition Gartner (1990), while reviewing the theories of entrepreneurship notes that it is a complex concept with not even an agreed definition of its scope. Although attempts have been made as early as the eighteenth century to identify the role of the entrepreneur, opinions are still as diverse as they were. On one hand there are stereotypical characteristics of entrepreneurs like they are born leaders, optimists, charismatic, extremely self confident and they inspire people. On the other hand, anyone who works for himself or owns a business calls himself an entrepreneur. • 18. My Family My life was stereotypical. A mom, a dad, a brother, and a dog. A nuclear family was what it was. House with a white picket fence. My days consisted of being in my fantasy world. Where stuffed animals were pets and they had their own little families. Where I spent hours finding creepy crawlies in the woods. Where watching my dad s favorite show was considered quality time. But that fencewas only an illusion. Like many other families, that white fence kept in more than just the familydog. It contained the secrets and lies. It hid the reputation of an unfaithful father. It created an illusion of unity within our family. Tears streamed down my red stained face. Wetting my cheeks then falling off the peak of my chin onto the collar of my favorite pajamas. The small drops created translucent circles on the material. I sat wondering the fate of my family. Questioning everything that had just happened. My small mind trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle but only ending up with a picture that didn t make sense. My lungs gasped for air. I believe that the article certainly poses some strong points that should be given further consideration, however, as a whole the article does not adequately assess both sides of the story and thus was generally ineffective in the end. Tim Walker s article The Testing Obsession and the Disappearing Curriculum suggests that unrealistic pressures put on teachers are having devastating effects on elementary curriculum, but his analysis came across as too biased on the whole to be considered a legitimate argument.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He states, high poverty schools across the nation have been forced to narrow the curriculum much more drastically than wealthier schools with worse consequences for low income students. While their more affluent peers may routinely visit museums or other cultural resources, many poor urban and rural students rely on their teachers to expose them to the kind of background knowledge that is essential to subject mastery. Based on that opinion, he goes on to state that ironically the social justice intended by the No Child Left Behind Act has instead created further social injustice. Walker writes that an additional inconvenient truth of all this is that the impacts are irreversible, While no one discounts the very real problem of students who can t read or do basic math, defenders of the status quo often claim that glossing over science, arts and social studies is merely a fleeting elementary school experience later to be recouped in middle and later high school. Comparing Julius Caesar And Antony Octavian and Antony No contemporaries could have possibly known for sure as to who the victor would be from the conflict that arose between Gaius Julius Ceasar Octavianus, Octavian, and Marcus Antonius, Antony. However, knowing what the ultimate outcome of the struggle was, one may be able to look back into history and offer key reasons as to why Octavian was able to defeat Antony. Ultimately, I believe there was not one key reason for Octavian victory. It was a combination of Octavian s proximity to Rome, his favor with the citizens, and the elimination of his opposition at home that all combined to allow his eventual triumph. Overlooking some smaller details, it is first important to know that after Julius Ceasar s assassination that Octavian was named his heir and returned to Italy to claim this inheritance. From here, he gathered military power and allowed the senate to use him, in order to advance his political position, and he was sent to fight against a rebellious Antony. At this point, Octavian did not try to decimate Antony s forces, instead he proposed and ultimately formed the second triumvirate with Antony and Lepidus as the other heads of the state (Wells 13). From here, the Roman territories were divided into areas of governorship with Antony taking the east, Octavian the west, and Lepidus had the Africa territories (Wells 17). This would turn out to be one of the main contributing factors in Octavian s ultimate success; for it allowed him the opportunity ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A glance at the table of contents is enough to show that the sequence of chapters is erratic and closer inspection reveals that the scope of individual chapters is far wider than appears at first sight. Philosophic doctrines (which, according to the author, are the basis of the talismanic art), theory of magic, astronomical, astrological and physical lore, extensive directions for the practice of the art, and accounts of the peoples by whom it is employed are jumbled together throughout the book, with no discernible guiding principle. If a systematic arrangement is anywhere perceptible, it is in the astrological and astronomical material, though even this is far from selfcontained or methodically ordered. Subjects which belong together are separated (e.g., the geographical sections on pp.171 ff. and 394 ff.), long, discursive definitions, appearing in unexpected places, further break the sequence (e.g., pp.78 and 343) . and there is a great deal more to make the reader s task more difficult. This manner of writing may well be intentional, whether to make the magical sections appear less suspect by interlarding them with theoretical passages, or to make certain doctrines seem less strange by administering them in small doses, or to demonstrate the equal validity of the magical and philosophical material, or for a combination of all three reasons. • 26. American Identity Essay Historical events distinguish the change in the behavior and identity of a society. The United States is no exemption from this idea, as the events throughout American history has shaped the behavior and values of the American identity. Since the formal independence from Britain in 1783, to the compromise that ended Reconstruction in 1877, American identity has changed drastically through shifts in the American understanding of politics, ideology, economics, culture, and society. The American identity in 1783 was the hypocritical unity of the white men in America whom controlled politics, economy, and the social hierarchy. After the formal independence from Britain in 1783, American colonists were focused on forming a nation completely different than the mother nation from which they left. American ideology promoted freedom and equal representation of the people and for the future generations in The United States. This focus on the values of the citizens inspired a government that supported the idea that the government s power and authority came from the people. This became the start of a new political drive as more citizens could vote due to the increase of political representation for States within the Articles of Confederation. It was agreed that Gazprom would take a 51 percent stake in the pipeline infrastructure. In 1995, the two countries agreed to come up with a cooperative company that they would call Gaztransit so as to operate the Ukrainian gas assets in exchange for a debt write off. I believe the movie Wedding Crashers is against feminism. The two male characters treat women like sex objects to gain their need for sexual satisfaction. The movie stereotypes women to make them seem like sex objects, disregarding their personality and intelligence. I think the target audiences are men who are in their late 20s and early 30s that are successful and enjoy humorous adult comedy. The movie revolves around the two main characters, John Beckwith and Jeremy Grey. John and Jeremy are... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Claudia Reardon and Shane Creado (2014) explain, In 1998, police found a large number of prohibited substances, including ampoules of erythropoietin, in a raid during the Tour de France (History of Doping in Athletes, para. 10). In today s generation, law enforcement officers are taking action and busting individuals that have or are taking performance enhancing drugs. One of the most recent cases of drug busts involved gold medal olympian Usain Bolt. • 43. Analysis Of Kingdom Of Heaven Regardless of how one feels about Kingdom of Heaven in terms of its quality, the film undoubtedly takes a unique approach in its portrayal of the crusades. Although some critics have bemoaned the film for its historical inaccuracies and the way in which it presents Islam, such detractors are excessively dogmatic in their baseless scrutiny. In addition to their assessment of Kingdom of Heavenbeing unfounded, they fail to understand one of the broader notions expressed, which is the view that morality is not black and white: individuals are capable of doing both good and evil. This key theme shown throughout the movie is especially compelling since it not only applies to the Crusadesbut also to the modern world. Throughout the movie, the director, Ridley Scott, emphasizes the complex moral landscape of the Crusades to enhance the quality of the story. As best put by Peter Stanford in his review, Kingdom of Heaven is, however, no run of the mill variation on the popular theme of the historical thriller... Instead, Scott has directed a complex modern morality play (Stanford, Screen god ). One way he blurs the moral lines is the way in which he presents the force invading Jerusalem. Scott could have taken the easy route and made the Muslim invaders the stereotypical evil villains of the film. Instead, he presents the audience with a more nuanced view; even though the Muslim leader, Saladin, does try to violently conquer the city of Jerusalem, he is also merciful. He sends ... There are many different histories of stage musicals: French operettas, Grecian plays, and Roman comedies are just a few. However, I am going to focus on American musicals. The musical that many Americans are familiar with has its roots in the French and Viennese operettas of the 1800s, but take their comic style from American Variety and Minstrel Shows, which led to Vaudeville and Burlesque shows. Known to be the first American musical, The Black Crook , produced in 1866, proved how profitable the musical theater could be in the United States. The movie Singing in the Rain (1952) even offered a lighthearted depiction of Hollywood in the late 1920s where the focus was on the transition from silent films to talkies . From the beginning, audiences embraced screen musicals with tremendous enthusiasm, with The Jazz Singer (1927) bringing in a slew of newcomer audiences as well as the usual stage musical goers. Even though the stock market crash of 1929 caused almost a third of movies theaters in the U.S. to shut down, the industry survived (but barely), because the public would use the few pennies they had to go see a film that would make them forget the Depression for an hour and a half. Because of this, film musicals attempted to provide happy and uplifting types of musicals, but they were not extremely successful. Fast forward to 1933, when the Warner Bros. Studios gave audiences dance infused musicals, including Forty Second Street , where Busby Berkeley took his reputation and experience as a dance director for several Broadway shows and helped rebuild film musicals rapport. Due to the fact that, in the 1940s, America was fully focused on World War II in one way or another, Yankee Doodle Dandy was produced in 1942 by Warner Bros. Mulvey proposed that the conventions of popular narrative cinema are structured by a patriarchal unconscious, positioning woman represented in films as objects as a male gaze (76). The male gaze is closely related to the stereotype of the dumb blonde. The character of the dumb blonde is always represented as highly sexual and attractive and is, therefore, the misogynistic male viewer. The blonde woman has put in films as the weak, helpless, stupid character. • 50. Inequality Between The Authoritarian Teacher And Students 2.22 Inequality of Intelligence The hierarchical power relationship between the authoritarian teacher and students inherently stands in opposition to the equality of intelligence. Probing further in the direction of intelligence, authority is constructed on the ground of a certain form of inequality between who is intelligent and who is not (Tocqueville et al., 2000). This premise of inequality in intelligenceis enacted throughout the educational process in traditional teaching. According to RanciГЁre (1991), the pedagogical myth divides intelligence into two, a superior intelligence and an inferior one (p.7). The superior intelligence knows things by reason, proceeds by method, from the simple to the complex, from the part to the whole , whereas the inferior intelligence registers perceptions by chance, retains them, interprets and repeats them empirically, within the closed circle of habit and need (ibid.). An authoritarian teacher may take this binary conception of intelligence for granted, maintaining that s/he has a superior intelligence while students have an inferior one. S/he is likely to present him/herself as the necessary opposite of the students. By considering the students as less intelligent beings with immature minds, s/he claims his or her own superior intelligence: s/he is the one being capable of opening the curtains that hide the true meaning of the knowledge. S/he attempts to convince his or her students that s/he has direct access to the knowledge. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 51. The Writing Of History Is Not An Easy Task That Can Make... Any fool can make history, but it takes a genius to write it. Oscar Wilde states that the writing of history is not an easy task that can be executed well by many. This is evident in the biases that are incorporated into many authors writings on history. For instance, newspaper articles are typically littered with various biases depending on the origin of the author. Different people are raised to look at the world from different perspectives, so not everyone will have the same opinions on the matter of a specific topic. Consequently, readers are subjected to opinionated articles which may be biased towards a certain position that may either adulate or belittle the subject, depending on the author s position on the topic. This essay will highlight the biases that occur in histiography in everyday writing and how they may affect how audiences perceive a certain event in history. Specifically, an international event that was reported by various different countries is Saudia Arabia s decision to execute Prince Turki bin Sad al Kabir. This event occured on October 18, 2016.
