Speech
Speech to text
The Speech to Text service converts the human
voice into the written word.
Text to speech
Watson Text to Speech provides a REST API to
synthesize speech audio from an input of plain
text. Multiple voices, both male and female, are
available across Brazilian Portuguese, English,
French,French, German, Italian, Japanese, and
Spanish.
Language
Tone Analyzer
The IBM Watson™ Tone Analyzer Service uses
linguistic analysis to detect three types of tones
from text: emotion, social tendencies, and
language style. Emotions identified include
things like anger, fear, joy, sadness, and
disgust.
Personality Insight
Personality Insights extracts and analyzes a
spectrum of personality attributes to help
discover actionable insights about people and
entities, and in turn guides end users to highly
personalized interactions. The service outputs
personality characteristics that are divided into
three dimensions: the Big 5, Values, and Needs.
Language
Conversation
Add a natural language interface to your
application to automate interactions with your
end users. Common applications include virtual
agents and chat bots that can integrate and
communicate on any channel or device.

Vision
Visual Recognition
Understand the contents of images. Create
custom classifiers to develop smart
applications. Create custom collections to
search for similar images.

What is the Internet of Things?
It’s not so much about the emergence of new technology, it’s the
convergence—the ability to use sensors for everything in the world to basically be
a computer, whether it’s your contact lens, your hospital bed, or a railway track.”
Node-Red
Node-RED is a tool for
wiring together hardware
devices, APIs and online
services in new and
interesting ways.
