The unprecedented impact of Covid-19 on education systems around the world has affected more than 1.6 billion students representing 91% of all students in the world. World over Education is experiencing Non-Linear Changes.
COVID -19 has given a death blow to Higher Education by attacking the essential element of social connection on which the university and higher education system thrives forcing the world over all the universities within 7 to 10 days to go for online education. At the moment, universities are focused on ensuring academic continuity for students through “emergency remote teaching.”
The big question that arises is that will this Online Teaching be able to produce lasting change?

NewSchools Venture Fund presents ReimaginED, a 50 slide overview of the present and future of education.
From TED talk playlists to government speeches, everyone agrees: education is changing. Exactly how, why, or what it all means is still up for debate. Are the low United States PISA scores a sign of stagnation or creativity? Does technology replace or enhance face to face interaction? Are we trying to teach skills, concepts, or learning mindsets?
At NewSchools, we’d like to set the stage differently, in the context of the ground up innovation already happening. While some see the systemic challenges facing us as signs of a depressed age or solemn future, we see it as a call to action. The time is now to re-imagine our education system, and the landscape that’s developed over the last several years offers fertile ground for new approaches.
Just what are the challenges facing our nation, and what are problem solvers doing to keep training the next generation to be the best and brightest? Find out in Re-imagined, a 50 slide overview of the present and future of education.
The Government of India is aware of the strong and urgent need to make secondary education within easy reach, affordable and of good quality. There are certain measures that can be adopted to bring quality, equity and access for every child. Schools can be upgraded; their capacity to serve students expanded, creating new schools, and increasing GDP allocated to secondary schools are some of them. However, these require heavy investments in terms of infrastructure and finances. Adoption of ICT tools and an increased shift towards open distance and electronic education can improve quality and increase efficiency. Although there are various schemes in place, it is estimated that the demand for secondary education is going to increase sharply due to increased turnover of students from primary level (like the success obtained via Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan programme). Going virtual is one of the solutions. This concept paper looks into the aspect of increasing demand for access to education in the context of RMSA, meeting the educational needs by Open Schooling system, emerging trends in ICT use in education and proposes a framework for Virtual Open Schooling in India.
ReimaginED 2015: Trends in K12 EducationDavid Havens
We’re living in a time of tremendous technological change. In the next five years, another billion people will gain access to the internet. By 2020, 80% of the adults on Earth will have a smartphone, double what it is today.
We started the Seed Fund to seek out those places where technological change might be leveraged to improve education, and there is much to improve about our current system. One of the most troubling trends of the last decade is the decrease in educational mobility. As a country, we are doing worse than most at educating our neediest kids which now account for just over half of public school children.
For our neediest children, the problems are cumulative. A series of school failures and missed opportunities add up to an education of accumulated disadvantage, a reverse Matthew Effect of sorts. Our team is focused on how technology can be used to reduce and even eliminate these obstacles so that our school system is an escalator to opportunity for all.
We’ve invested in over 40 teams scaling ideas to improve our education system by empowering students, educators and families with the best tools technology has to offer. Through this lens, we share our second ReImaginED deck. Inspired by KPCB’s Mary Meeker’s widely shared Internet Trends deck, we set out to expose data about our K-12 education system and highlight some of the innovations in education technology. The goal of this deck is to draw out high level trends so it doesn’t include the human stories on the other side of these numbers and charts, see here for some of those.

Virtual Schools: Potential Solution for Equity and Quality Education for AllDina Ghobashy
In developing countries, public education systems, which enroll about 90 percent of all primary and 70 percent of all secondary students, face multiple challenges from overcrowded classrooms, lack of an incentives structure to shortage of qualified teachers and resources. These problems are expected to become more serious with the projected dramatic increase in the demand for schooling during the next decades. This presentation introduces virtual schools and the promise they hold in alleviating some of the current public education systems problems in achieving access and quality for all.

Understanding the Nature of Mobile Learning2009jeffkissinger
Diving head first into a mobile learning project without understanding the relevant pedagogy, technologies, faculty, and students could spell disaster for those who attempt. Having been involved with various mobile learning, training, and course development projects, the presenter will share his successes as well as setbacks, and offer practical suggestions for those considering mobile learning.
The presentation focus will cover a theoretical framework of mobile learning that was developed to situate and guide the development and support of such initiatives. Topics to be covered include: faculty training for mobile teaching and learning, common misconceptions, and easy to implement ideas that may increase access for rural, military, and digital divide students.
From May 2009 through May 2010, participants explored the use of mobile devices – in this case the Apple iPod Touch – to support teaching, learning, and research at Franklin and Marshall College.
Mobile teaching and learning in higher education is approaching a tipping point. One of the most significant promises of mobile learning is the ability for faculty members, teachers, and students to use their own mobile computing devices. In the US, 75% of American teens have cell phones and almost 30% have smartphones with Internet capabilities. In universities, the numbers appear to be much higher. It seems instructionally sound and fiscally prudent for institutions and faculty members to leverage the existing devices in which students are most comfortable. The purpose of this paper is to (1) critically examine the definitions and affordances of mobile learning in higher education, (2) identify the ways mobile teaching and learning have been and could be accomplished in higher education, (3) identify the challenges to implementing mobile teaching and learning in higher education.
Starting and Growing A Successful Online Learning Program Blackboard

Offering Students a Spectrum of Online Learning Experiences: featuring Jeffco...Blackboard
In 2006, Jeffco Public Schools in Colorado was looking for a way to address the staggering number of students that were failing classes as well as provide options for students that wanted to learn in a way that modeled their digital lives. The district also wanted to expand educational options for the hundreds of students that were leaving the district each year to learn online elsewhere.
In order to meet these needs, Jeffco Public Schools turned to Blackboard to expand educational offerings with online courses.
Jeffco Public Schools shares how Blackboard software helped accomplish the following:
Develop a five-year road map for online learning,
Address the districts withdrawal and failure rate,
Provide online learning opportunities without students having to leave their school,
Launch a statewide online school and,
Use online learning as a vehicle for organizational change.

US Economic Outlook - Being Decided - M Capital Group August 2021.pdfpchutichetpong
The U.S. economy is continuing its impressive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and not slowing down despite re-occurring bumps. The U.S. savings rate reached its highest ever recorded level at 34% in April 2020 and Americans seem ready to spend. The sectors that had been hurt the most by the pandemic specifically reduced consumer spending, like retail, leisure, hospitality, and travel, are now experiencing massive growth in revenue and job openings.
Could this growth lead to a “Roaring Twenties”? As quickly as the U.S. economy contracted, experiencing a 9.1% drop in economic output relative to the business cycle in Q2 2020, the largest in recorded history, it has rebounded beyond expectations. This surprising growth seems to be fueled by the U.S. government’s aggressive fiscal and monetary policies, and an increase in consumer spending as mobility restrictions are lifted. Unemployment rates between June 2020 and June 2021 decreased by 5.2%, while the demand for labor is increasing, coupled with increasing wages to incentivize Americans to rejoin the labor force. Schools and businesses are expected to fully reopen soon. In parallel, vaccination rates across the country and the world continue to rise, with full vaccination rates of 50% and 14.8% respectively.
However, it is not completely smooth sailing from here. According to M Capital Group, the main risks that threaten the continued growth of the U.S. economy are inflation, unsettled trade relations, and another wave of Covid-19 mutations that could shut down the world again. Have we learned from the past year of COVID-19 and adapted our economy accordingly?
“In order for the U.S. economy to continue growing, whether there is another wave or not, the U.S. needs to focus on diversifying supply chains, supporting business investment, and maintaining consumer spending,” says Grace Feeley, a research analyst at M Capital Group.
While the economic indicators are positive, the risks are coming closer to manifesting and threatening such growth. The new variants spreading throughout the world, Delta, Lambda, and Gamma, are vaccine-resistant and muddy the predictions made about the economy and health of the country. These variants bring back the feeling of uncertainty that has wreaked havoc not only on the stock market but the mindset of people around the world. MCG provides unique insight on how to mitigate these risks to possibly ensure a bright economic future.

As of my last update, Pi is still in the testing phase and is not tradable on any exchanges.
However, Pi Network has announced plans to launch its Testnet and Mainnet in the future, which may include listing Pi on exchanges.
The current method for selling pi coins involves exchanging them with a pi vendor who purchases pi coins for investment reasons.
If you want to sell your pi coins, reach out to a pi vendor and sell them to anyone looking to sell pi coins from any country around the globe.

The European Unemployment Puzzle: implications from population agingGRAPE
We study the link between the evolving age structure of the working population and unemployment. We build a large new Keynesian OLG model with a realistic age structure, labor market frictions, sticky prices, and aggregate shocks. Once calibrated to the European economy, we quantify the extent to which demographic changes over the last three decades have contributed to the decline of the unemployment rate. Our findings yield important implications for the future evolution of unemployment given the anticipated further aging of the working population in Europe. We also quantify the implications for optimal monetary policy: lowering inflation volatility becomes less costly in terms of GDP and unemployment volatility, which hints that optimal monetary policy may be more hawkish in an aging society. Finally, our results also propose a partial reversal of the European-US unemployment puzzle due to the fact that the share of young workers is expected to remain robust in the US.

how can I sell pi coins after successfully completing KYCDOT TECH
Pi coins is not launched yet in any exchange 💱 this means it's not swappable, the current pi displaying on coin market cap is the iou version of pi. And you can learn all about that on my previous post.
RIGHT NOW THE ONLY WAY you can sell pi coins is through verified pi merchants. A pi merchant is someone who buys pi coins and resell them to exchanges and crypto whales. Looking forward to hold massive quantities of pi coins before the mainnet launch.
This is because pi network is not doing any pre-sale or ico offerings, the only way to get my coins is from buying from miners. So a merchant facilitates the transactions between the miners and these exchanges holding pi.
I and my friends has sold more than 6000 pi coins successfully with this method. I will be happy to share the contact of my personal pi merchant. The one i trade with, if you have your own merchant you can trade with them. For those who are new.

Right now the only way to sell pi coins is by trading with a verified merchant.
What is a pi merchant?
A pi merchant is someone verified by pi network team and allowed to barter pi coins for goods and services.
Since pi network is not doing any pre-sale The only way exchanges like binance/huobi or crypto whales can get pi is by buying from miners. And a merchant stands in between the exchanges and the miners.
