This document outlines the components of a reading plan template, including setting the purpose and success criteria, identifying challenges in the text, activating background knowledge, reading and discussing the text to build understanding, and reflecting on student achievement of the purpose. The template is intended to guide teachers in planning a reading lesson that engages students and helps them develop comprehension strategies.
