BlackHoles :
Black holes are the evolutionary end
Points of stars at least 10 to 15 times
as massive as the Sun.
Black Holes are so dense that nothing in
the Universe can escape from it’s
gravitational pull , not even light
(NASA ,2014,May 15)
Formation :
Black holes are formed from remnants of a
larger star that dies in a Supernova
explosion.
Only the stars greater than 3 times the
mass of sun that become Black hole upon
collapse .
Mass of a Black Hole:
Black Holes weigh about as much as a
star .
It would be about 10 times the Mass of
the Sun .
Types of Black Hole :
Theories on Black Hole :
 Einstein-Rosen BridgeTheory ->
If human goes into a Black hole, he will be
sucked out into a tunnel and shot out into a
parallel universe.
 Collapsed Stars ->
Black hole is a simply a massive, dead star
whose gravity is so intense that even light
cannot escape.
Einstein’s Equation of General relativity
Singularity :
 It is defined as a one dimensional point
at which the laws of physics cease to
operate.The density and gravity
becomes Infinite .
Event horizon :
 The point at which no light or Object can
escape is called as event horizon .
Falling into a Black Hole :
 If you were to take a step into a black
hole, your body would most closely
resemble like “tooth paste being
extruded out of the tube”
-Charles Liu .

Black Hole in MilkyWay
Galaxy :
Name :Sagittarius A*
Artificial Black Hole :
*Jeff Steinhauer from theTechnion University in
Haifa, Israel .He proved that black holes can be
created in lab.
INTRESTING FACTS :
 What happens when you replace the sun in our
Milky way galaxy with a ‘BLACK HOLE’ .
Ans: Even though we replace our sun with a black
hole of same mass ,the earth would not get
sucked in.
It will continue orbiting in same orbits ,but
the only problem is we will be freezed to death.
 Objects appear to “FREEZE” near a black hole
 Black Holes eventually evaporate over time .
 Black Holes can suck up other black holes and
usually the bigger one swallows the smaller one.
 There are currently “14” known Black holes.
