Biomes and Global Warming        Deserts
Global Warming                        Global warming refers to the Earth's temperature rise, mainly, caused by some human actions, such as:   - Burning gasoline to drive cars and trucks; - Burning oil, coal or wood to produce electricity for heating, cooling, and other purposes; - Burning forests to clear land.             Deforestation is an another important fact too, that  contributes to this problem, because of the reduction of the evaporation levels; decrease of rainfall tax; dry and sterility of the ground.

Greenhouse effect         Deforestation, fires and burning of fossil fuels will incresase the carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere creating "a specie of roof", as of a greenhouse, on the Earth leaving the light of the sun enter and not allowing the heat escape to the space.                                                      CO2 release            Burning of fossil fuels                                                                                                         Fires                    Increase of the                    Greenhouse                                                                                           CO2 levels                               effect                                                                                                             Destuction of trees                  The photosyntheses                                                    does not occur
What should we do about global warming? Many people, animals and plants can't take the change due to:   High temperature;  Rise of the sea level;   Excessive abuse of energy .       To make some difference, in order to help and solve this global problem  we should:   - Turn off the lights, when you aren't using it;   - Take short showers;   - Recycle;     - Dress warmly inside your house, when it's cold  instead of turning  up the heat;   - Plant a tree;   - (....)
Deserts/our biome:    This biome is located near the tropic of cancer or the tropic of       capricorn. The average yearly rainfall of my biome is lesser than 25    centimeters a year. The average temperature in hot and dry deserts, is    from 20 degrees to 25 degrees. The extreme maximun temperature is    from 43,5 degrees to 49 degrees.       In cold deserts, near the arctic part of the world, the temperature in    winter is from 2 degrees to 4 degrees and in summer is from 21 degrees to 26    degrees a year.   Interesting facts or unique features:                                                                                                          Deserts cover about 1 fifth of the Earth land surface.

Conclusion    The deserts of the world are facing threats without precedents, mainly because of the climatic changes, consequently, some species of vegetables and animals will die.      To prevent the effect of the global warming it is necessary that the developed countries decrease the emissions of  greenhouse gases drastically, and equally reduce the deforestantion and the forest fires, stimulating the recycling.
