1. Bill Clinton Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of Bill Clinton can be a challenging yet rewarding endeavor. On
one hand, Clinton's presidency is a vast canvas, marked by both accomplishments and
controversies, making it a rich topic for exploration. The difficulty lies in distilling the vast array
of information into a coherent narrative that captures the essence of his leadership and legacy.
Bill Clinton's presidency spanned a pivotal period in American history, marked by economic
prosperity, global events, and domestic challenges. To write a comprehensive essay, one must
delve into his early life, political career, and the intricacies of his presidency. Analyzing his policy
decisions, such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) or the welfare reform,
requires a nuanced understanding of both political and socioeconomic contexts.
However, the complexity of Clinton's legacy extends beyond policy. His personal life, including
the Monica Lewinsky scandal, adds a layer of intricacy that demands careful handling.
Balancing a discussion of his achievements with an examination of the controversies calls for a
delicate approach to maintain objectivity and thoroughness.
Researching primary sources, scholarly articles, and historical documents is essential to present a
well-rounded perspective. Navigating through the diverse opinions and interpretations of
Clinton's impact on the nation adds another layer of difficulty to the writing process.
In conclusion, tackling the task of writing a comprehensive essay on Bill Clinton necessitates not
only a deep understanding of political history but also a skillful ability to navigate the
complexities of his presidency. It requires a balanced approach, acknowledging both successes
and controversies, while weaving a coherent narrative that does justice to the multifaceted nature
of Clinton's legacy.

Tana River red colobus which is belong to Piliocolobus rufomitratus. As many
species of red colobus monkeys, which living near Kenyatta Tana River used to
recognize as a subspecies of P. badius. This species is only finding in the levees of
the lower Tana River in Kenya. They live in the riparian forest fragmentation, some
of forest fragmentations are less than one hectare, and even the largest one is not
up to 500 hectares. The habitat loss is one of the main threats of the Tana River red
colbus. The range of this species is significantly small. The forest loss and
fragmentation is mainly causing by agriculture, the increasingly smaller and more
isolated patches of habitat, for instance, forest convert into buildings. Furthermore,
if human need to build a house, human will get the material such as wood, from
forest which increases the loss speed of the habitats. David points out that there is
a 50% decrease of the forest loss in last 20 years due to those activities. Colobus
monkeys are vegetarians, the trees which providing fruit for red colobus monkeys
living in these areas is harvested, resulting in red colobus monkeys instead of fruits;
they eat several kinds of leaves in the main living. However, the nutrition of those
leaves is not rich, so they need to eat a large amount of leaves every day for support
their body health and daily life activities.
3. Comparing American And Chinese Society
American and Chinese society are wide varieties and fascinating. Both Chinese and
Americans have similarities and differences with food and etiquette. For example,
both cultures dine with family. Americans and Chinese share dinner with family and
friends. Another similarity is both cultures have large varieties of foodto choose from
at dinner. For instance they put food on the table and hope it s enough for everyone.
Finally both societies have conversations during meals. In other words they talk about
what happened to them during the day. Food and etiquette are two of many things
that both cultures differ from.
Food is one aspect between Americans and Chinese. For example, Americans have a
buffet style table. This style is when you get more
4. Is Censorship Harmful For School
Censorship is keeping knowledge or information away from any person. Just think
if a community was completely censored, everything and everyone would be the
same, like in the book The Giver by Lois Lowry. Nobody wants to the the same as
someone else, us as people of the U.S. should be able to be unique and different.
Censorshipis harmful to the community because it, restricts children s learning
experience, and restricts them from what the real world is really like. Some people
say censorship may be good for schools to some extent because it restricts students
from certain concepts that are inappropriate to teach. Although, that may be almost
true, it is not. Many people can argue that censorship is bad because it does not give
students the full conception of education(Censorship in the schools). Students could
also learn how to discriminate and make unthought decisions. If students were not
growing intellectually, they could be controlled by many people smarter than them
because they do not know any better. Censorship is harmful because it results in the
opposite of true education and learning (Censorship in the schools). Just think if
parents, teachers, and school boards ban or restrict books from the students, is it
good or bad? Many people would say it is good because they do not want their
children to read a book about violence, that have cursing, or defacing of their
religion. Also, many may say it is bad because it could keep children from reading

5. Climate Change And Natural Disaster
Climate change has been a very popular topic lately with all the crazy natural acts of
destruction occurring lately. Hurricane Harvey, Irma and now Hurricane Nate. Most
experts argue that the recent occurrence of tropical storms has to do with the
tremendous amount of global warming within the atmosphere. I for one agree that
there is a correlation between climatechange and natural disasters. The outcomes of
an increase in global temperatures include increased risk of drought and increased
intensity of storms and tropical cyclones with higher wind speeds.
Three unique articles were analyzed and assessed for potential information that
would be beneficial to include in this report. First off, let s tackle the main
vocabularies in these sources. They all seemed to agree with this working definition
of climate change. According to NASA, a change in global or regional climate
patterns, in particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards
and attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced
by the use of fossil fuels. Let us also discuss another staple vocabulary term that will
be utilized in this research document, natural disaster. Natural disaster can be
defined as a, a natural event such as a flood, earthquake, or hurricane that causes
great damage or loss of life. Or, according to Merriam Webster dictionary, a major
adverse event resulting from natural processes of the Earth; examples include floods,
hurricanes,
6. The Struggle Between Economics And Ecology
Right from the end of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th Century, there
has been a fierce debate concerning how economic growth or development affects
the environment or ecological setup of a country. The debate has its basis on
whether it would be recommendable for a nation to concentrate on growing its
economy while at the same time hurting or harming its ecological system. Naturalists
like Pinchot Gifford, John Muir, Love Canal and Cuyahoga County always argued in
favor of environmental preservation as opposed to concentrating all efforts towards
developing the economy (Olmes 154; Miller 150 51). This paper will, therefore,
discuss the struggle between economicsand ecology specifically looking at particular
events across the Twentieth Century. It will also attempt to explain the factors
involved in the pursuit for change on the way people and the administration perceived
the environmental conservation as opposed to economic growth.
The Twentieth Century conservationists like John Muir and Gifford Pinchotalways
argued that it was important for the government of the day to strike a balance
between the two conflicting goals of economic development and environmental
conservation. According to Menzel (2007; 3 4), other environmental movements in
the USA had been in constant conflict with industrial enterprises. The major root
cause of conflict being the fact that industrial enterprises had ignored the fact their
activities were hurting the environment through

пїјWolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born January 27, 1757 and died on December
5, 1791. He did not have a long life at all; nevertheless; he was a musical genius. He
was born into a musical family and started at the mere age of three playing the
keyboard. Mozart composed so many different works and genres and that is why
he s well known all over the world. Although he is considered a musical genius, he
started way too early. His childhood was rushed and he was forced to grow up. This
led to many problem such as him having trouble managing his money and was

Their range was so amazing and sounded as if it required a lot of practice. I admire
them for lasting the whole show with spotless vocals. You most definitely have to
have an acquired taste for the style of music that they were singing, but not to
appreciate it. Throughout the opera I had to constantly remind myself to keep a
positive outlook on the performance; nevertheless, I developed a great reverence for
opera singers by the end of the opera.
The title opera was The Magic Flute and the main character Tamino had a magic
flute as a prop. The prop wasn t a real flute though it was a pretend flute made out of
a wooden stick. I am mentioning this because it was so impressive how every time
the Tamino went to play the pretend flute the real flute player that was in the pit
played along in perfect timing. It was so amazing how the musicians stayed right in
time with
пїјthe actors and actresses. They were right on time for every scene, song, and
shuffle made by the actors! I also absolutely loved the costumes they were so cute
and they stood out. Each and every costume conveyed the character s role perfectly.

8. The Law And Civil Law
The concepts of law and justice are interdependent and deeply intertwined. The
relationship between these concepts is able to be perceived through analysis of
each independently and then comparatively. One of the primary questions
concerning law and justice pertains to the balance and importance of natural law
compared to civil law. Problems arise when defining what natural law and civil law
are. The identification of natural or civil law as set boundaries provides its own
queries. Along with the identity of these types of law, the existence of natural law is
brought into question. The purpose of both natural and civil law is defined by the
purpose of any law. Natural law may be defined as an unwritten form of rules that

Laws may be inviolable; within this instance it is perceived that laws (primarily of
nature) exist without exceptions and if an exception is found, that exception is
one where the law does not apply rather than an act of disobedience. Laws may be
general or specific to individuals. The conceptualization of some laws is perceived
to be a creation of God. A law may be man made, but not all are. Laws are not
always absolute, but they are set to be followed. The kinds of laws are defined
differently by different writers. Adler states that the division of law into civil law .
. . and natural law is not of Greek but Roman in origin. The definitions of natural
and civil law stem from the basic alterations in the explanation of what law is and
how laws are created.
Natural law, or a law of nature, may be defined as a precept or general rule, found
out by reason, by which a man is forbidden to do that which is destructive of his
life, or taketh away the means of preserving the same. Natural law is not a law
made by man. The purpose of natural law is to endeavor to obtain peace. As
discussed by Hobbes, natural law is similar to justice in that it may only be relevant
to men in a civil society. Through his viewpoint, natural law does not apply to men
outside of a Commonwealth due to the natural tendency for men to live in a state of
war and selfish intentions.
The idea of natural law only existing amongst a
12. Art During The Renaissance
The Renaissance in Italy included some of the greatest artists we have ever seen from
Leonard Da Vinci, to Michelangelo, and Raphael. The Renaissance took place from
the late 13th to 16th centuries. Firstly, during the renaissance liberal arts was brought
back to light, which were on the brink of being extinct1. Secondly, what is also
interesting about art during this time was that most of the art had Christian in its
roots, for example, Botticelli s The Allegory of Spring is said to have had a Christian
interpretation1. Every Italian artist, willingly took the title of architect, sculptor, and
painter 2. At the beginning of the fifteenth century, the Italian painters had asked the
Flemish painters for their secret techniques because the Italians felt like the language
of paintingwas one that was always meant for them2. The sculptors claimed their
inspiration from ancient works. Lastly the Renaissanceintroduced idea of
individualism, which helped the Italians get away from everything that was going
on during that time. Art during the Renaissance included painting, sculpting and
architecture, all of which were an important part in expressing the idea of
individualism and making art what is today. Fresco was one of the most popular
works artists did during this time because it was fairly cheap and a lot of buildings,
like churches had no windows and were just plain, concrete walls. Frescos helped
soften up the walls by telling stories through the frescos.

16. Tijuana Summary
Questions Derived from Moral Landscaping
Ian Bogost investigated how games could teach particular procedures and practical
systems to players. But Julian Dibbel s investigation in Tijuana revealed how
players could transform procedures into self serving, manipulative machines.
Profiteering is likely not the lesson Bogost or Epistemic Games for that matter
hoped to teach players. But what is the difference between Epistemic Games
transferring players power into solutions to real life problems and Blacksnow
transferring power into real life profit? Simply stated, it is the players motivation.
More complexly stated, a game like Candy Crush commits no moral error by placing
players into a work based system of economic growth.

And are these games really just simulations of real life? This would make sense
since games now have real life applications and implications. But all things
considered, the difference between a game and a simulation is arbitrary and based
strictly on one s definition of each term. If the difference relies on how realistic the
game is in its mechanics and play style, then Call of Duty might as well be called a
combat simulator. Does a VR set such as the Oculus Rift along with the still in
development rifle shaped controller and multi direction gaming treadmill
automatically turn a game into a simulation? Perhaps every game is a low stakes
simulation of its real life counterparts. Pit, then, is a non digital, non profit simulation
of stock market trading...that is, of course, unless one started playing for money.
Then, does the inclusion of money turn a game into a simulation, or even into work?
These terms are debatable. What is clear is the driving factor behind why games are
made beyond artistic expression, though not mutually exclusive of it, is the desire for
profit.
The gaming industry, much like the motion picture industry, is a business, driven by
profit. Whether other companies design games for other uses to teach or to problem
solve is outside the scope of what the industry (not so much the indie developers)
prides itself on. King wants to make money for its product; that is common sense.

When deciding to go to a historical site in the city, I was drawn in by the history of
the place. I am relatively new to the city and when I heard about this place, I knew

apparent why this building is not only important to Detroit, but to all cities. The
Guardian Buildingwas not only a great fixture of the past, but it is a leading example
of the efforts to bring a city back to greatness. The Guardian Building was founded
by The Union Trust Company. Smith Hinchman and Grylls architectural firm and
designer Wirt C. Rowland were crucial to the grand design of the historic site (

19. Statement of Purpose for the Occupation of...
Obstetricians/Gynecologists and firefighters are occupations crucial to the United
States because they offer safety and medical assistance to the citizens. Both
careers require the ability to work in stressful situations and have medical
knowledge. The jobs also consist of long work shifts. These qualities grab my
attention due to the fact that I like to work with others, enjoy managing people, and
respond well to high stress situations. I am willing to take risks and I describe
myself as ambitious and energetic. Also, verbal and communication skills come
naturally to me. One major difference between an OB/GYN and firefighter is the
typical work shift. Firefighters have a set shift at a firehouse where they get called
out to emergencies. OB/GYNs work at a hospital or physicians office and work
twelve hour shifts but go home and get calls or pages saying they need to return.
Being a firefighter also requires a large amount of physical fitness. While I would
love to be in excellent physical shape, firefighting is too physical for my body. In
addition, I believe it would be easier for me to endure the day to day requirements
of an OB/GYN. Even though firefighters and OB/GYNs share many similar
qualities, I would prefer to become an OB/GYN due to its daily tasks and lack of
physical requirements.
When it comes to job description, firefighters and OB/GYNs share some similar
qualities with many differences. A firefighter responds to and controls building and
or wildfires. This is

Another rifting phase started in the early Jurassic around Pliensbachian or

Middle Jurassic (He, 2002; Tortopoglu, 2015) and oceanic crust was laid down to

21. King Lear Feminist Analysis
When interpreted from a feministic perspective, it is apparent that the story of King
Lear and The Winter s Tale contains misogynistic implications. While the three sisters
in King Lear were fallen victims to the misogynistic societal needs, Hermoine in The
Winter s Tale also suffered from temptress accusations. The ingratitude that the
women endured from male authorities who viewed women stereotypically, claims
how both plays challenged genderroles and suggested that women were wicked,
sexually deviant, and the cause of all issues. Moreover, women who lived during the
Shakespearean period like the female protagonist in these plays, lived in misogynistic
society s due to the lack of equality that was implemented during this time period. In
the Shakespearean play, King Lear, the feministic attributes were tested when Lear
asked his three daughters, which of you shall we say doth with merit challenge
(1.1.49 51) which legitimized a man s authority over women by using a women s
emotions to boost a man s ego. If Lear had three sons rather than three daughters,
receiving affection to get the largest bounty (1.1.50) would not have occurred but
because women were portrayed as emotional, Lear quantifying the love that each
daughter had for him was appropriate. This demonstrates the first misogynistic
approach towards women in King Lear. When each daughter displayed their affection
towards their father, Lear s most faithful daughter, Cordelia elaborated that there was

22. The Climate Change And Reduce The Greenhouse Gas
Emission
Some scientists and engineers figure out that a better way to fight against the climate
change and reduce the greenhouse gas emission is supporting nuclear energy (
Climate Change ). Nuclear generation is also one of the energy that is able to supply
the world s electricity. Additionally, the nuclear generation currently avoids the
emission over two billion tons of carbon dioxideeach year ( Climate Change ). It is an
economic development and greenhouse gasemission reductions. Currently, many
countries are planning to use nuclear generation because it is helpful to meet their
emission reduction. Many researchers find that the best way to get energy for daily
use is by converting the coal into electricity (Cohen and Winkler 1). There is a lot of
energy that stored in the coal, so people are capable to get electricity from it.
Furthermore, coal generated electricity is really helpful for farming, industry, heating,
transportation, etc. The cost of the coal fired electricity is pretty low because the
environmental costs are not included in the price. When we are combusting the fossil
fuel, the greenhouse gas emission associated with the production of electricity using
gas will be releasing less than those associated with electricity produced from coal
(Cohen and Winkler 1). According to the researchers, carbon dioxide is the major
greenhouse gas in terms of overall contribution despite its lower global warming
potentially relative to methane which will give

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate my experiential learning of personal and
social adjustments when confronted with life changing events and the mechanisms
utilized to effectively cope from traumatic experiences. The components supporting
this piece include: confronting the problem, learning to adapt and cope, cultivating
self worth, the importance of a support system and over time change influencers. To
support my understanding of personal and social adjustments, I will use the content
of this paper to speak as evidence of my experiential learning derived from
confronting a long term spiritual abuse situation and process of unraveling and

His leadership became oppressive and extracted any self will and identity we
possessed, requiring the yielding of complete blind submission (also known as
faith and obedience) to his spiritual authority over our life. Intuition and
discernment are natural to my reflective nature and my gut instinct is usually right
ninety nine percent of the time; however, this innate ability was gradually silenced
under his leadership because questioning meant we were rebellious and
disobedient resulting in being out of the favor and will of God. At least that is
what his leadership taught his; therefore, I learned to suppress my innate instincts
until I know longer recognized how much of me was me and how much of me was
him. If I dared to pursue a passion, it required his approval regardless of whether it
was related or unrelated to the church. For example: he taught us that if we were
contemplating any major purchases such as a car or house or even desiring to go
on vacation, we needed his approval first. As ridiculous as this might sound, it was
the reality for my family and I as well as his church
25. Critical Analysis Of A Midsummer Night s Dream
In his critical analysis of A Midsummer Night s Dream, by William Shakespeare, G.
K. Chesterton introduces the idea that A Midsummer Night s Dream is not only the
greatest piece of literature produced by Shakespeare, but also the greatest
psychological analysis. On the surface, A Midsummer Night s Dream seems to be an
argument against the idea of eternal love and the societal standard of marriage; but
under the surface,Shakespeare talks about the workings of human emotion, and the
powerful connection that brings people together. Michael Taylor adds to this idea in
his critical analysis, The Darker Purpose of A Midsummer Night s Dream , in which
he discusses that feelings of love require feelings of hate, in order to be expressed in
their truest form. In a play that contains such a prominent motif of magic and wonder,
it is obvious that mystic will play an important role in the overall theme. Often, the
fairy world interacts with the human world, and influences the direction of the plot.
There are many important characters and relationships expressed throughout the play;
however, the role of the love flower is the most important. Even though it is an
inanimate object and does not further the story through dialogue with characters, the
love flower s nectar acts as a spirit that unites mankind... that seventh man who is the
harmony of all of them (G.K. Chesterton). Whenever the nectar is used on the eyelids
of the characters, they find themselves further entangled in a web

Medical Precision Systems (from now on MPS) have a HR strategy with the

expatriate managers in both technical and managerial areas of the business.
Expatriate managers have been told to try to keep the unions out or to ensure that
they have a minimal influence. The main issue with MPS IHR strategy is that they
are using an ethnocentric approach where they export their HR strategy to foreign

subsidiaries will also get a higher motivation if they have to achieve goals that they
have set themselves. Another thing that can be very interesting is to create cross
border career paths within the company. This can help motivate the workforce and
on the other hand give a more value fore the company in cross cultural teams and
gain more experience in how to manage cross cultural challenges. With doing these
things and give the subsidiary the possibility to create their own HR strategy this
will also help the company with adapting to different cultures, and also give them
knowledge about which factors employees in the specific country cherish. Maybe
the old strategy has a high focus and use a lot of money on a factor that the
employees in the specific country don t appreciate.

27. Communication Plan For An Effective Communication
A communication plan describes the objectives a company will accomplish in terms
of sharing information inside and outside the organization. This communication plan
derives from the company s business plan and is aligned with the overall objectives
of the organization. The first and most important task to be able to design an effective
communicationplan, is for the responsible team to evaluate the company s goals and
objectives for the period encompassing the plan and be able to correlate the plan with
the overall business plan. Throughout this essay, I will use the lecture from Rodrigo
Garcia Nieto, UPS Americas, on The Importance of the Communication Function in
the Multinational Firm to illustrate examples of an effective communication plan.
There are numerous definitions of what constitutes a good and effective business
plan, and within each company one can tailor the plan to fulfill and give most
importance to the part that will accomplish the objective. Below we will describe one
of these definitions and explain briefly each one. An effective communication plan
starts with identifying the brand or the main focus from which the plan will revolve.
Afterwards, the plan will constitute of eight different marketing and advertising
techniques that will help communicate the objective about the brand. These are:

Perhaps the three most influential men in the pre Civil War era were Henry Clay,
John C. Calhoun, and Daniel Webster. These men all died nearly a decade before
the civil war began, but they didn t know how much they would effect it. States
rights was a very controversial issue, and one which had strong opposition and
radical proposals coming from both sides. John C. Calhounwas in favor of giving
states the power to nullify laws that they saw unconstitutional, and he presented this
theory in his Doctrine of Nullification . Daniel Websterstrongly disagreed with this
proposal and showed this by giving powerful support to President Jacksonin resisting
the attempt by South Carolina to nullify the tariff of abominations , as they called...

The secession of South Carolina from the Union was the most extreme way that the
South argued for states rights. John C. Calhoun was, perhaps, best remembered for
his part in inspiring the South s effort to achieve national independence in the Civil
War, even though it took place nearly twelve years after his death.
Daniel Webster was one of the best orators in the United States during his time and,
perhaps, ever. While arguing that the Constitution had created a single, unified
nation he put up strong opposition to nullification. When Webster spoke on the
senate floor, he left everyone in awe. He was a magnificent lawyer and a
convincing speaker. Daniel Webster was probably best remembered for his role in
the short story The Devil and Daniel Webster .
Henry Clay was, perhaps, the greatest compromiser of all time, authoring such
documents as the Missouri Compromise, the Compromise of 1850, and the 1833
compromise bill that gradually lowered the tariff which the South had been so angry
about. His view on states rights was that they should work with the federal
government to come to come to a compromise on the issue. Henry Clay was best
remembered for his support of the Compromise of 1850.
These three men were very different in a time of more partisanship and anger that

29. TV MYTHS Essay
TELEVISION AS A MEDIUM FOR MODERN DAY MYTHS
Throughout the 1950s and 1960s television programming developed rapidly into
more than an assortment of fact and fiction narratives; it became itself a social text
for an increasing population, functioning as a kind of code through which people
gleaned a large portion of their information, intellectual stimulation, and distraction
(Danesi, 240). Since its inception in the mid 1930s, many of television s programs
have become the history of many cultures. French semiotician Roland Barthes (1915
1980) claimed that television shows are often based around a mythologie, in
reference to the fact that the original mythic themes continue to reverberate residually
in modern day societies, especially ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The television programs of the 1950s and 1960s sugar coated the typical family and
built up the mythology of a patriarchal family. However, this mythology was
challenged by the uprising of strong, independent, working women. For example,
the Fresh Prince of Bel Air (1990) depicted a clean cut and wealthy family that was
black, with a mother that was a professor at a university. The Cohen family in The
O.C. (2003) drama television series represent a wealthy, white family, with a
working mother who is the major bread winner of the family. These shows and many
others portrayed strong, independent women who were attempting to survive, socially
and professionally, in a world that was deconstructing patriarchal structures (Danesi,
230). Strong willed women are not the only force that is disassembling these
traditions. The dysfunctional family is now also taking into effect. The show
Desperate Housewives (2004) demonstrates the increasing number of families in this
period that are separating and losing the traditional value of family . This show
contains cheating spouses, and generally wives who are desperately vying for
attention and love. In this day and age, sitcoms and dramas deal with controversial
yet honest groundbreaking discussions of current social issues.
Since the dawn of television shows, most of society select their clothes and have their

30. Memory Work With Children By Linda Goldman
Memory Work with Children by Linda Goldman (62) Memory work interventions
are great to use with children, since during this time they are starting to form
memories. Through memory work children are able to retell their stories and the
stories of others, and are able to create new stories or recall memories through
making meaningful projects (as stated in Neimeyer, 2012). Through this intervention
as Goldman states, a bereaved child constructs the deceased though an ongoing
cognitive process of establishing memories, feelings, and actions appropriate to the
child s developmental level (as stated in Neimeyer, 2012, p. 240). Memorywork is an
intervention that will help children not to forget about the deceased. Memory work
can take the form of writing, objects, albums, picture stories, and memory boxes.
Another method that goes along with memory work is speaking with the client to
help him or her process what they have experienced and remember. As counselor, I
would ask questions: what they remember about the deceased person, what their
initial thoughts were, how did they find out about the death, what are some initial
reactions to certain emotions, where was the client when the death occurred,
questions that will get the client to start to think about their loss as well as where
they are now mentally in the process (as stated in Neimeyer, 2012). For children,
voicing these answers will help them process the death as well as show them it is
okay to feel this way. By

Suspense and surprise in And Then There Were None Although every well written
murder mystery does not have fixed mode because the writers of detective story
always want to give their readers a unique feeling, suspense and surprise are essential
and indispensable features in a well written murder mystery. (Alewyn 184) In Agatha
Christies And Then There Were None, she fully combines suspense and surprise,
through the omniscient point of view and poignant plot. Therefore, And Then There
Were None is a well written murder mystery. The omniscient point of view means a
method of storytelling in which the narrator knows the thoughts and feelings of all
of the characters in the story. (Abrams 233) Plot is the series of events that form the
story of a novel, play, and film (Abrams 294). I will show the suspense and surprise
through the analysis of the narrative, rising action, climax, and falling action as well
as use specific textual evidence from this fiction novel to prove it. In And Then

emphasizes motivation and inspiration. One doesn t have to be part of nursing
management to be a true nursing leader, there are unlimited opportunities for nurses

characteristics of transactional leaders: Focused on short term goals Favor structured

In this particular film adaptation of the novel Emma, the character Jane Austen
presents in the novel is the type of person who likes to meddle in other people s

character Cher. Cher is also a meddler in other people s lives. This sets the film up
for an interesting and developing plot. Cher Horowitz illuminates EmmaWoodhouse
because they both exist in that precarious realm where lovable threatens to tip over

Emma may be older than Cher, but she is an adolescent in most senses, a young
woman who has never left her father s side or her small neighborhood. She has free
rein at home but is also confined by her caretaker role, which she performs as Cher
does with her lawyer dad lovingly and without complaining. Yet Emma s protected
provincialism ensures she doesn t fully understand the larger world, and her own
role in it, particularly the potential of her power over men, over women, over her
neighbors. Just as Clueless, Tai actually has more real world chops than her self

clever and rich woman s social rank, charm, and beauty. The ensuing disconnect

35. Water Supply And Its Effects On Earth
At this point in time, most of the inhabitants of this planet have learned to survive.
One way or another, every living creature on earth has used one of its resources to
live. One of the greatest and most important resources the earth has is its water
supply. Plants, wild animals, and specifically humanbeings use what the earth has
given us every day. This being a fact of life, we as humans have constantly
examined the state of the earths resources to make sure we have enough. Sadly, the
facts are true. One of the most valuable resources on our planet is quickly being
depleted. It is arguably the most necessary factor to sustain life on earth, and we as
humans use it more than we know. Water used to cover up at least 75% of the
earths surface, though scientists believe that number is rapidly decreasing as time
goes on. As the human population increases, the need for water also increases,
making it difficult for the rest of planet to flourish. One might think, Why should I
worry about the water supply? There will be enough for me to live till I die, so who
cares? This foolishness is very common among many, not only around the world, but
especially in the United States of America. As Americans, we feel a constant
entitlement to all that might be out there in our vast land. This means opportunities
for a better life, but it also sets precedent for taking our resources for granted. Yes we
might have plenty of water for our lifetime, but what about the next generation? What

antioxidants and who also take antioxidant supplements, have better chances to live
longer, healthier and happier lives. Antioxidants are a family of vitamins, minerals,
and other nutrients that may prevent or delay some types of cell damage. Thus, they
might be beneficial in preventing diseases and contribute to the length and quality of
human life. Hundreds of antioxidants are produced in the human body, but some
necessary antioxidants must be obtained from the outer sources. But do they work

The special power of this network antioxidants is that they have an ability to

into an antioxidants that are ready to fight again. The five antioxidants that form the
network are Lipoic acid, Vitamin E, Vitain C, Coenzyme Q10, and Glutathione. Even
though these antioxidants work perfectly together, each has his unique functions in
the human body alone. For example, Lipoic acid is the most powerful antioxidant in
the antioxidant network, because it can regenerate three out of four other network
members their change during oxidation processes. It can be used effectively to treat
diabetes and significantly protect bodies against stroke.
The natural level of vitamin E in our bodies is very low, so it must be obtained from
outer sources. Vitamin E protects lipoproteins from oxidation, which is the first step
toward formation of atherosclerosis and heart diseases. It also reduces the risk of
prostate cancer and fights against of progression of Alzheimer s disease. Our bodies
don t produce Vitamin C, which is believed to be essential for our immune system.
Numerous studies prove that Coenzyme Q10 is a very effective to threat diseases
associated with the human heart, such as high blood pressure, congestive heart

How did Ptolemy try to build and unite the new Greek and Egyptian Kingdom?
To build and unite the new Greek and Egyptian kingdom, Ptolemy wanted to make
his kingdom the center of the new civilization. He started by kidnapping Alexander s
body and building the city of Alexandria, bringing in Greek institutions such as
banking systems specifically the use of coins for tax collection. Alexandria which
would become one of the largest cities of the ancient world required some basics
such as water and food. Since Alexandria had no fresh water supply and was situated
quite a distance from the Nile River, Ptolemy had canals dug and cisterns built to
bring water from the Nile to the city. The Alexandria Lighthouse was built to help

40. Medical Ethics And Medicine Ethics
Medical profession has always been an occupation of helping and healing people
and medical ethics have become an inseparable part of it for decades. The first
advanced concepts of medical ethics, which have reached our modern world from
the depths of centuries, were recorded in an ancient Indian book Ayurveda (which
translates as Knowledge of life, Science of life ). The book has summarized the
concepts of medical ethics, along with the instructions for a doctor to be
compassionate, friendly, kind, enduring, calm and to care about people. Even with
the price of his/her own life the doctor must protect and improve patient s health
stated in the book. Further improvements were made to medical ethics later in ancient
Greece and concepts were summarized in Hippocratic oath .
Unfortunately, not all the doctors follow the concepts of medical ethics. Nowadays
there are hundreds and hundreds of medical ethics cases around the world and we
will try to analyze a particular one in a particular country.

Ernesto Galarza s Sacramento is filled with a lot of Mexican and other Latin
American people living in a particular area of the city. Barrio Boy s Sacramento

The police officers, bartenders, and other people working in different occupations
were almost all gringos. As poor refugees, the first concern was to find a place to

immigrants who were fleeing their home country to go live in Sacramento,
California were poor and did not have a lot of money to make a living. For them to
make a living, they needed to find jobs, and that was one of their goals so they can
have a significant life in Sacramento, California.
In Joan Didion s book titled Slouching Towards Bethlehem, it has a story inside of
the book named Notes From A Native Daughter. This story is mostly about living
in Sacramento, California and notably on what it is like living and being born and

place in the era of the 1950s which is more current then Ernesto Galarza s article,
Barrio Boy. At one point in this story, Joan Didion mentions that Sacramento Is
California (Didion 172). As Didion refers to Sacramento, California in this way, she
relates to the history of the city of Sacramento, California. For example, Didion says
in her text, But it is characteristic of Californians to speak grandly of the past as if it

memory of the empire and the bones of a dead leader have long since turned to
dust. Colossal galleons and crowds to greet victorious soldiers are no longer even

gathering dust in the darkest corner of a room. There is no one to remember the
beauty of the vast city; no one to describe the sight of the lighthouses and no one to
recall the crisp aroma of the once majestic river. All that remains are the few
paintings and statues that did not dissolve with time. The dust of the bones of
men, women and children long since dead has faded from existence. There is no
one left to remember the man selling wares in the street or the woman grieving
over the soldier she loved. Nobody holds the memory of the child playing in the

cold command secured his victory in every battle he fought, has dissolved into

43. A Christmas Carol Analysis Essay
Every year at Christmas, people who celebrate the holiday place emphasis on giving
to those less fortunate than them and spending money on family and friends. The
exception to that would be Ebenezer Scrooge, that is, before he was visited by three
spirits. This past month, I read the book A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. For
this analytical essay, I chose to write about a character from the novel and how the
character has evolved from the start of the novel to the end. Ebenezer Scrooge, the
protagonist of A ChristmasCarol, has evolved throughout the story in that in the
beginning, he despises Christmas, loves money, and turns people away from him; in
the middle, when the three spirits come to him, he begins to repent his attitude and
ways; and, in the end of the novel, he has fully changed and enjoys the Christmas
holiday and gives to others. At the start of A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge
despises Christmas, loves money, and turns people away from him. An example of
Scrooge s despising Christmas, as well as his loving money, is when his nephew
visits the counting house on Christmas Eve to wish Scrooge a Merry Christmas, and
the two men get into an argument about their clashing opinions on Christmas. Come,
then, returned the nephew, gayly. What right have you to be dismal? What reason
have you to be morose? You re rich enough. Scrooge, having no better answer ready
on the spur of the moment, said, Bah! again; and followed it up with Humbug.
Don t be cross, uncle, said the nephew.
What else can I be, returned the uncle, when I live in such a world of fools as this?
Merry Christmas! Out upon merry Christmas! What s Christmas time to you but a
time for paying bills without money; a time for finding yourself a year older, but
not an hour richer; a time for balancing your books and having every item in em
through a round dozen of months presented dead against you? If I could work my
will, said Scrooge, indignantly, every idiot who goes about with Merry Christmas,
on his lips, should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly
through his heart. He should! (Dickens, 5 6). This quote shows that Scrooge believes
Christmas is a nuisance in that, despite being

goal was to help meet the health care needs of a certain groups of people. Such as:
rural residents, workers and families in the lumber, mining and railroad industries;
the enrollees paid a set fee to physicians who then delivered care under the terms of
their agreement. By 1929 the Los Angeles department of water and power
contracted with Drs Ronald Ross and H. Clifford Loos to provide service for almost

If you choose to go outside of your network for health care you will get charge a
deductible like a PPO plan, charges will be about 300 dollars for and individual or
600 dollars for a family. For some reason when I was researching managed care
majority of the websites I came across never mentioned Exclusive Provider
Organization [EPO] then I finally came across it. Exclusive Provider Organization
[EPO] is the type of managed care that if you get healthcare outside of your
network you will have to pay for it out of pocket, so its not like a Point of Service
where you ll get charged a deductible or a percentage in this case your on your own.
Being that EPO member are restricted to in network doctors they are able to
negotiate prices. EPO does charge co payments each visit that ranges from 20 30$
and charge a monthly premiums and deductibles. I chose to save the best for last; I
will be talking briefly about Health Maintenance Organization [HMO] as well as its
advantages and disadvantages. I chose HMO because it was the first form of
Managed Care. The earliest from of HMOs can be seen in a number of prepaid
health plans tracing back to 1910 the western clinic in Tahoma, Washington offered
lumber mills owners and their employees certain medical services from is providers
for a premium of 50 cents. However; the first HMO considered in the United States
was the Ross Loss Medical Group in 1929 as I said earlier.
45. Inside Out Directed By Pete Doctor
Overview The animated film Inside Out directed by Pete Doctor is about the
change in emotions due to stress, and how the brain changes with age. The film is
about the mind of an 11 year old girl named Riley, who is trying to remain happy
with the family move from Minnesota to San Francisco. Once the family arrives in
San Francisco, a series of events happen that make her upset or disappointed.
However, she tries her best to please her parents by pretending to be happy. The
movie also highlights the function of short and long term memory, and the
psychological changes in becoming a pre teen. The major characters in the film were
the personification of her emotions: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger. These
five personifications worked together to allow Riley to function, and express how she
is feeling (Doctor Carmen, 2015). Pre Adolescent Female Brain During the pre
adolescent years, the brain is under major construction, but still is able to process
information, and make firm decisions based on emotions. In addition, when a child
gets older, their personality evolves, and their relationships with others grow and
change. In the film, Riley s actions were determined by her emotion at that moment,
which impacted her relationship with her parents and best friend. Also, Riley s
personality evolved when she got older. Her personality expanded to include thoughts
about boys, fashion and other teenager thoughts (Doctor Carmen, 2015). Although,
the brain has developed it
