This document describes a bike side stand lock link designed to prevent riding with the side stand unfolded. [1] It is a simple, low-cost mechanism that connects the side stand to the gear lever, restricting gear changes when the stand is unreleased. [2] Installed on a Bajaj Platina 100cc bike, the link effectively blocks the gear lever from moving when the stand is down. [3] This ensures the rider cannot ride until folding the stand, improving safety by avoiding accidents from the stand contacting the road surface.
Introduction
The accidents from a vehicle can be done by two reasons mainly. First is due to others fault and second is our neglectancy. One of the most seen condition is to forget removing side stand. So in our project we are trying to give a mechanical arrangement which can remove the side stand at the start motion of the vehicle. It si desired to avoid the automatic arrangement because these systems have many king of disadvantages and dependencies. So the removal system will be a mechanical arrangement which will be simple in mechanism and would not interfere with ride and comfort. In all over world everywhere motorcycle are used. The side stand plays major roll while the vehicle is in rest position. But it has some disadvantages takes place as while the driver starting the motorcycle, there may be possibility of forget to release the side stand this will caused to unwanted troubles.

Introduction of fast moving bikes in our country has disturbed the condition of Indian roads. Rash driving is the major concern with these bikes which has led to accidents all over. Today's generation which normally prefer super bikes (150cc or more) accounts for most of the accidents taking place in the country. Comparing previous census, the number of accidents taking place have increased drastically. Though bikes have high safety systems like disc brake, ABS, etc which can arrest the motion of wheel and stop the vehicle at any speeds, the problem here arises with pillion rider. When braking is applied at high speeds, the rear wheel is lifted up and bike comes to stoppie position and throws off the pillion rider from the vehicle. Pillion riders hardly wear helmet, thus it leads to serious injuries even leading to death. To minimize these kind of accidents, a special kind of shock absorber has been designed which absorbs shocks to greater extent. This shock absorber uses slider mechanism supported by springs placed beneath the rear seat. The rear seat is fitted with rollers which slide inside the rail, thus providing a slider motion. This slider motion is supported by springs of calculated stiffness which returns the roller to initial position after the action. When there is sudden breaking, deceleration is produced which brings the slider mechanism in action. The roller moves forward which leads to movement of seat forward and also the pillion rider. This pushes pillion rider forward rather than being thrown off from the vehicle. The spring plays a vital as it brings back the seat to initial position after the action is performed. Spring has another advantage as it reduces the shock produced during the movement of seat back and forth due to sudden breaking. Implementation of this method is easy as it requires slight customization in the rear seat. The rear seat is separated from driver's seat and slider mechanism is made beneath the rear seat. Setting up of this shock absorber is cheap and affordable.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.
You could be a professional graphic designer and still make mistakes. There is always the possibility of human error. On the other hand if you’re not a designer, the chances of making some common graphic design mistakes are even higher. Because you don’t know what you don’t know. That’s where this blog comes in. To make your job easier and help you create better designs, we have put together a list of common graphic design mistakes that you need to avoid.

Abstract
The Bike Side stand unfolded ride lock link for two wheelers is the one of the lifesaving mechanism which
prevents the ride from riding the bike in unreleased position (retracted position) of the side stand. This prevents the
rider as well the vehicle to lose the center of gravity by imbalance or surface hindrance due to retracted positionof
side stand and thereby saves life of the rider. The side stand lock link is cheap, rugged and easier to install without
additional installations and fittings.
Keywords-Bike Side stand, safety, rider, low cost
Introduction
We may have witnessed motorcycle accidents
because of the surface hindrance of retracted positioned
side stand. One of the most common problems that are
encountered in using the side stand is negligence or
carelessness to kick back the side stand. The negligence
may be due to absence of mind, urgency, divergence in
concentration and few other reasons, which may prevent
the rider to kick back the side stand to its original
position (released position). Failure to kick back the side
stand for any of the reasons stated above may hit the side
stand to surface of road and there by affect the stability
of the vehicle and lead to accident of the vehicle and
riders involve in the accident, sometimes fatal. To ensure
safety of the rider, during absence of mind, negligence,
urgency or carelessness the side stand lock link helps in
knowing the state of side stand prior to movement of
vehicle.
Description
The side stand lock link relates to the field of
automobiles industry, especially for two-wheeler
vehicles using side stand apart from the Main center
stand provided therein for the resting of the vehicle. The
side stand lock link makes the contact with the gear lever
there by indicating the person handling the vehicle about
the unreleased side stand when the rider tries to apply the
gear in unreleased state of stand and prevents him from
being endanger or to have unsafe ride of motorcycle. The

Conclusions

stand with assembled side stand lock link
Presently many commercial two wheelers come
with built in side stand locking systems with indicator
and alarm systems, but they are expensive and can’t be
installed to the bikes that are in use (already on road)
without the provisions for fixing it. The developed side
stand lock link can be fitted to any motorcyclewith slight
dimensional changes in the link. It is simple in design,
easy to fabricate and is low cost.
