THE BIG SIX METHOD
1. Task definition.
What is the problem?
What information is required?
2. Information-seeking strategies.
Range of possible resources.
Evaluate/prioritise resoucres.
3. Location and access.
Locate sources.
Find information within resource.
INFORMATION LITERACY
4. Use of information.
Engage with the source.
Extract information from the source.
5. Synthesis.
Organise information from multiple sources.
Present the information.
6. Evaluation.
Judge the product.
Judge the information problem-solving process.

The process is not necessarily linear (steps done in
order) but all steps need to be completed.
