(The first of many memos that I sent around the Biblical Films community
throughout my internship in order to edit their company newsletter.)
Hello!
If you are receiving this message, you are the director / assistant director of one
of the upcoming programs within The Film Factory, including Superwho, Weird
Wild Wonderful Days of School, POW, and Beauty is a Beast! To those who
don’t know me, my name is Lauren, and I am one of the editors of this month’s
BFN Writer’s Committee newsletter. We are looking to promote every program
that’s currently in production and will premiere on stage next month.
Since you are the creative visionary for your respective project, I would
appreciate a few moments of your time to answer a few questions, which I have
listed below in the body of this email. With your individual take on the project, our
goal is to talk up the programs and advertise them to fans and followers of the
company, as well as to new potential viewers!
Please reply to this email with the following questions copy/pasted with your
answers, in your own words.
1. What is your primary role in the production of this program?
2. What is the premise of the program you are producing?
3. How would you compare the content of this program with others similar to
it on television/ in the movies?
4. What message and/or reaction do you hope viewers will take away from the
program?
5. What is the most positive experience you’ve had as a result of working on
this program?
6. What information regarding promotions, teasers, performance/premiere
dates would you like to advertise to your intended audience?
Thank you for your time! Please feel free to ask me any questions/concerns
regarding the newsletter.
Sincerely,
Lauren Gilbert
