Multi Sensory Approach
❖ SAI Angan has been constantly endeavoring to practice the teaching learning processes in
alignment with the highly acclaimed theory of Multiple Intelligence of Howard Gardener.
❖ SAI Angan multisensory approach to learning focuses on the development of all the seven skills
of a child through a holistic approach. Our unique methodology ensures the enhancement of all
the skills such as intra and interpersonal, visual, kinesthetic, linguistic, logical, naturalistic
and musical through activity based teaching in our specially designed classrooms.
Multi Sensory Approach
❖ Multisensory teaching techniques and strategies stimulate learning by engaging students on
multiple levels. They encourage students to use some or all their senses to:
» Gather information about a task
» Link information to ideas they already know and understand
» Perceive the logic involved in solving problems
» Learn problem solving tasks
» Tap into nonverbal reasoning skills
» Understand relationships between concepts
» Store information for later recall

❖ Language development is of utmost importance at this age of a child as
it helps the child to communicate. Stories and rhymes are used as the
best resources to develop Linguistic skills.
❖ Activities done to enhance Linguistic skills :

» Storytelling
» Picture reading
» Reading
» Writing
❖ Logical-mathematical intelligence is the ability to calculate, quantify
and carry out any mathematical operation. It enables the students to
develop sequential reasoning skills, understanding of patterns,
categories, and relationships. Activities like sequencing, comparing,
sorting, matching etc help in developing the logical skills.
❖ Activities done to enhance logical skills :

❖ Theme is a vast and fascinating subject that integrates all spheres of
life. Theme time involves discussions on topics related to the
immediate environment of a child, ex. : my self, my school, my
neighborhood etc. Topics related to animals, birds and different life
forms on earth give the students an insight into his/her natural
environment, thus developing his/her Naturalistic Skills.

❖ Specially designed and acoustically perfect labs to foster Musical
intelligence which shows sensitivity to rhythm and sound.Musical
intelligence is the capacity to discern pitch, rhythm, timbre, and tone.
This intelligence enables us to recognize, create, reproduce, and reflect
on music, as demonstrated by composers, conductors, musicians,
vocalists, and sensitive listeners.

❖ Visual intelligence involves visual perception of the environment, the
ability to create and manipulate mental images, and the orientation of
the body in space. Core capacities include mental imagery, spatial
reasoning, image manipulation, and an active imagination

» Drawing & colouring
» Craft
» Nature walk
✓Bodily Kinesthetic
❖ Bodily kinesthetic intelligence is the capacity to manipulate objects and
use a variety of physical skills. It involves physical coordination and
dexterity, using fine and gross motor skills, and expressing oneself or
learning through physical activities.
❖ Activities done to enhance kinesthetic skills :
» Outdoor games like running, jumping, hopping, slide, football,
swing, treasure hunt, blind

❖ We try to develop Interpersonal intelligence which is concerned
with the capacity to understand the intentions, motivations and
desires of other people. It allows people to work effectively with
others. Educators, salespeople, religious and political leaders and
counselors all need a well-developed interpersonal intelligence.

❖ The Intra-personal abilities of the students are developed to enable
them to understand themselves, their own thoughts and feelings.
Awareness of their own self helps children to comprehend their
strengths and weaknesses, beliefs and goals, likes and dislikes etc. It
also enhances their decision-making skills and managing stress.
