Plagiarism involves copying others' work and claiming it as your own. There are two types: word-for-word copying without quotes and paraphrasing without citing the source. Students must always cite sources of information and images in assignments to avoid plagiarism. Consequences of plagiarism range from failing grades to legal punishment depending on educational level and profession. Netiquette refers to etiquette on the internet and involves practices like identifying yourself, being brief, avoiding profanity, and following basic rules like being patient and not breaking any laws.

6. Usually, everything we see on the internet, such as pictures is
copyrighted and makes it harder for us to copy and paste or save
images so we can use them for projects and other assignments. So
here are tips to try to avoid copyrighted pictures and other stuff:
• Avoid using when you see a copyright symbol (circle with the
letter “c” in it) at the bottom.
• Search for “free pictures” instead to avoid copyrighted pictures.
Remember: although you may search for free pictures, there
may still be pictures that are copyrighted.

7. • In middle school: You could get a failing grade for
using plagiarized work.
• In high school: You could get a failing grade and
suspended.
• In College: You could be kicked out of college if you
use plagiarized work.
• In Life after college: You could get arrested.
• In life in general: You could get sued from the
person who you plagiarized the work from.
