Editor's Notes
Introduction: First two presentations of the day – focus on indicators. Good indicators important in identifying issues, change over time and effectiveness of actions. However, as ROs, we have a key role in informing regional policy makers – and to do that, we often have to move beyond the numbers and try to answer the questions – what does it mean? – what can we do about it? Today I am going to be talking about a piece of research we commissioned last year that was very much focused on identifying practical solutions to the big issue we are all trying to deal with, climate change.
