DataPlotly is a plugin for QGIS that allows to create D3 like plots from spatial data. It is build on top of plotly, a javascript library which offers easy API for many languages such as Python, R, Matlab and NodeJS.
The plugin was created back in 2017 for the upcoming QGIS 3 version: today the plugin has been downloaded more than 50,000 times.
Creating plots is out of the main scopes of QGIS but thanks to the simple Python API it is easy enough to create additional scripts and plugins. Thanks to these APIs, DataPlotly is today a well maintained Python plugin with a growing community of developers, users and testers.
DataPlotly plots are completely interactive so that plot elements are directly linked with map items; therefore the user is able to query map items from the main plot canvas.
Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign launched in March 2019 during the annual QGIS User Conference, the functionalities of DataPlotly were extended: a complete refactoring of the code, more plots but especially the creation of plots in the layout composer.

Manufacturing Analytics at Scale
Bosch is a large, global company with over 360,000 employees operating in four main business sectors: mobility solutions, industrial technology, energy and building technology, and consumer goods. It generates large amounts of manufacturing data across its 200+ facilities and thousands of assembly lines. Bosch uses data mining and analytics to improve various aspects of manufacturing such as reducing test and calibration times, improving quality, reducing warranty costs, improving yield, and enabling predictive maintenance. However, analyzing manufacturing data at Bosch's scale presents unique challenges around data volume, distribution, schema changes over time, and the need for real-time models with very high accuracy.

BOTS TESTING BOTS: From manual to automated testing for conversational AI
Testing is a crucial enabler for the success of chatbots and voice assistants. Doing it manually requires enormous time and effort. As DevOps and furthermore AIOps grow in importance, automated testing will remain critical to ensure that bots actually do what their designers intend.
Unlike traditional software where the application follows a predefined flow, a chatbot runs without any restrictions. Talking to a chatbot has no barriers. Combining this with an unpredictable user behavior, it becomes utmost difficult to verify the correctness of conversational AI. Training data and test sets are infinitely large. In fact, quantity plays a mature role in quality assurance for bots but makes it impossible to test manually.
We will tackle the main questions arising: “Why are bots failing?”, “What and how should you test?” and of course mainly “How can we automate the testing and training?”. In addition, you will get hands-on experience in running your first automated tests using Botium.

1) Lack of training and skilled personnel due to BIM being a new technology.
2) High upfront cost of BIM implementation, though research shows adequate return on investment.
3) Lack of government policies and standards mandating BIM use.
In low-income countries, the top barriers are lack of government policies and lack of awareness. In high-income countries where BIM is more established, the top barrier remains high implementation costs and cultural resistance to change from traditional practices.

BOTS TESTING BOTS: From manual to automated testing for conversational AI
Testing is a crucial enabler for the success of chatbots and voice assistants. Doing it manually requires enormous time and effort. As DevOps and furthermore AIOps grow in importance, automated testing will remain critical to ensure that bots actually do what their designers intend.
Unlike traditional software where the application follows a predefined flow, a chatbot runs without any restrictions. Talking to a chatbot has no barriers. Combining this with an unpredictable user behavior, it becomes utmost difficult to verify the correctness of conversational AI. Training data and test sets are infinitely large. In fact, quantity plays a mature role in quality assurance for bots but makes it impossible to test manually.
We will tackle the main questions arising: “Why are bots failing?”, “What and how should you test?” and of course mainly “How can we automate the testing and training?”. In addition, you will get hands-on experience in running your first automated tests using Botium.
