The document discusses the Ten Commandments and examines whether one is serving other gods, following God's designs, taking God's name lightly, prioritizing fellowship, honoring parents, murdering, committing adultery, stealing, spreading lies, or being covetous. It notes that if anyone sins, Jesus Christ is the propitiation for sins and that keeping God's commandments shows love for God.
Parables of the Lost Sheep & Coin - Parables ReloadedMartin Oxby
The document discusses Jesus' parables of the lost sheep and lost coin from the Bible. It summarizes that the parables teach that both Christians and non-Christians can wander away from God and the church, but God will pursue even one lost person. The document urges Christians to watch out for signs of wandering in themselves, their families, and other Christians, and to share the love of Christ without judgment with those who are not yet believers.
So what do we who love God and His Word do when our cultures clash with God’s Word? We do what believers have been doing for centuries. We keep speaking that Word because the Word of God is the will of God.
Jesus Christ our promised seed is the fulcrum of all history. By gaining a greater understanding of God’s promised redeemer, we can grow in our love and appreciation for what Jesus Christ accomplished.

We are the lights that God needs to shine brightly for Him and make a difference in this world. Our lives can affect the world around us as we live for and serve God. Let’s decide to live for our heavenly Father as we joyfully serve where we are needed and make an impact in this life.
In order to be born again, we must first hear the Word of God. Then, as we confess Jesus as lord and believe in the heart of our heart that God raised him from the dead, we are born again!
As born-again believers, we have been given by God all sufficiency in all things so that we can abound to every good work. One good work we can do out of the love and thankfulness in our hearts to God is to serve God's Word to others.
God created humans to have companionship and build a relationship with them. The document outlines that people can communicate with God through prayer, both with their own language and in tongues. It emphasizes that God understands all languages and always hears prayers. Speaking in tongues allows effective prayer according to God's will and helps strengthen the intimate relationship God desires with His children.
1) As born-again believers, we have access to God as our heavenly Father through the gift of the Holy Spirit.
2) When we accept Jesus as our savior, we are born again and can communicate with God through prayer.
3) The document encourages believers to take advantage of their access to God and approach him with confidence, as a loving Father, in both times of need and in daily life.
Jesus commanded his followers to call no man father, as God is the only true Father. He rebuked religious leaders of his time who sought honor and recognition from men rather than humbly serving the people. Today some still exalt religious title and authority over obedience to God's word. True worship is keeping Christ's commandments, not following man-made doctrines. Calling religious leaders "father" breaks the relationship with God as the sole Father and can lead worship to be in vain if not following his word.
If God is good always, then where does evil come from? Why does it seem as though God sometimes carried out evil in the Bible? By seeing what God has to say about Himself in His Word and by recognizing the real source of evil, we can be assured of God’s goodness.

This document summarizes the biblical accounts of the births of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ. It describes how angels foretold that Zacharias and Elizabeth would have a son named John who would prepare the way for the Messiah. It then tells of how the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her she would conceive and give birth to Jesus, the Son of God. Mary accepted this despite being a virgin, and gave birth to Jesus in Bethlehem, just as Gabriel had prophesied.
David is nearing the end of his life and charges his son Solomon to be strong and prove himself a man by keeping God's commands, statutes, and laws so that he may prosper. The sermon defines what makes a true man - it is not things like fighting or sexual exploits but rather following righteousness, godliness, and obedience to God. A real man draws from the deep wellspring of God's wisdom in scripture and fights the good fight of faith.

It contrasts those "asleep" in sinful darkness with believers who are awake and clothed in armor of light. Non-Christians are characterized by "deeds of darkness" like drunkenness and sexual immorality, but believers should reject such behaviors as they await the coming day of the Lord. Living holy lives now in view of Christ's future coming is a frequent biblical theme to motivate Christians.
1) There are two types of sin: sins of commission which go against God's commands, and sins of omission which involve not doing what God has commanded.
2) There are also two types of sinners: those who sin out of ignorance, and those who sin willfully despite knowing God's commands.
3) There are two types of service to God: giving Him what is left over after other priorities, or making Him the top priority and seeking His kingdom first in all things. The talk focuses on overcoming sins of omission by keeping God as the top throne of one's heart.

This document summarizes and comments on a passage from Romans 13:11-14. It begins by noting that Paul is calling believers to live differently than unbelievers in light of the imminent return of Jesus Christ. Unbelievers are described as sleeping and walking in darkness, while believers should be awake and walking in the light. Paul urges believers to put aside sinful deeds and armor themselves with righteous living. The motivation is that salvation is near now that Jesus may return at any time.
Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons are not considered true Christians based on their beliefs about Jesus and God. Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus was created and not God himself, contradicting the Bible which says Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. Mormons believe humans can become gods like Jesus, but the Bible says there is only one God and nothing created can become God. Key verses used by JWs to argue Jesus is not God are taken out of context and contradicted by other verses, showing Jesus as the creator and sustainer of all things, proving his divinity.
- Brotherhood was established in Nigeria between 1966-1968 during a time of national confusion, in order to reconstruct the country.
- God brought Brotherhood into existence to survive over time and take proper control over people.
- The document discusses the history and establishment of Brotherhood, emphasizing that it is God's plan to rule eternally through Brotherhood.
Solomon became king after his father David. He made an alliance with Egypt by marrying the Pharaoh's daughter, which some think was a mistake. Solomon loved God but sacrificed at high places instead of the temple, displeasing God. God appeared to Solomon and told him to ask for anything. Humble Solomon only asked for wisdom to lead God's people well. Pleased by his selfless request, God gave Solomon great wisdom and understanding, as well as riches and honor.

The document provides guidance on spending time with God through waiting on Him. It explains that God desires an intimate relationship with us and created us to find pleasure in His presence. To experience His presence requires being still, focusing our thoughts on Him, and coming into His presence by faith. The document then outlines steps to waiting on God, including spending time in silence before Him, praising and worshipping Him through declarations of who He is, and making our "one thing" request to dwell in His house as King David did. The overall message is that God invites us to wait on Him and find our greatest joy and pleasure in His presence.
The document discusses building one's life and financial security on God rather than money alone. It shares insights from the author's experience as a financial counselor, noting that while saving is important, ultimate security comes from trusting in God's promises and provision. Various Bible passages are presented to illustrate how God sustained the Israelites and desires a relationship with his followers more than material wealth or comfort. The conclusion advocates developing a relationship with God through studying his word and obeying him.
1) The document discusses how love is key to living a Christian life according to 1 John 2. It says God loved the world so much that he gave his son, Jesus, so that people may have life.
2) It discusses how God speaks to his children - the young, the old, the fathers - because their sins are forgiven and they know him. His children are delivered from sin's power and are overcomers through Christ.
3) The document warns against loving the world or the things in it, saying it is impossible to love both God and the world. It describes the world as excluding God and drawing people's hearts away from him.
Key yourself into God's covenant an be a high-flyer. When you operate by the covenant, life becomes easy and blessings transcends to generations after you. This is a great book that will open your eyes to the covenant of God contained in the scriptures (the bible).
1) When claiming God's promises, we must carefully understand what the promises say without assumptions. God will meet our needs, not wants.
2) We must consider the context and premise of the promise. Philippians 4:19 refers to God meeting the Philippians' needs after they generously supported Paul's ministry.
3) To claim a promise requires practical faith that God created the universe and can do anything, but will provide according to His plans and purposes.
God has established delegated authority in several spheres including the family, church, and government. In the family, the father has authority as head of the household and husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church. Wives are to submit to their husbands and children are to obey their parents. In the church, Christ is the head and he has established leaders with authority such as pastors, evangelists, and teachers. Believers are to submit to these God-appointed authorities and the local church is to have sovereignty over its own affairs.
Barnabas was a companion and fellow-preacher with Paul. This Epistle lays a greater claim to canonical authority than most others. It has been cited by Clemens Alexandrinus, Origen, Eusebius, and Jerome, and many ancient Fathers. Cotelerius affirms that Origen and Jerome esteemed it genuine and canonical; but Cotelerius himself did not believe it to be either one or the other; on the contrary, he supposes it was written for the benefit of the Ebionites (the christianized Jews,) who were tenacious of rites and ceremonies. Bishop Fell feared to own expressly what he seemed to be persuaded of, that it ought to be treated with the same respect as several of the books of the present canon. Dr. Bernard, Savilian professor at Oxford, not only believed it to be genuine, but that it was read throughout, in the churches at Alexandria, as the canonical scriptures were. Dodwell supposed it to have been published before the Epistle of Jude, and the writings of both the Johns. Vossius, Dupuis, Dr. Cane, Dr. Mill, Dr. S. Clark, Whiston, and Archbishop Wake also esteemed it genuine: Menardus, Archbishop Laud, Spanheim, and others, deemed it apocryphal.
The document discusses God's perspective on government based on passages from Genesis and Deuteronomy in the Bible. It asserts that government began in the Garden of Eden when God commanded Adam and Eve to rule over creation. While the fall of man changed humanity's status, it did not alter God's plans for order and rule. The Bible describes how Moses established the first system of government by appointing leaders over tribes. Ultimately, the document argues that God's ideal form of government is one where the people consent to and freely choose their rulers.
The document is a sermon about God's plan for our financial welfare and blessings according to His riches. It discusses that everything we possess ultimately belongs to God, including ourselves, and we are obligated to use what God provides wisely for His kingdom. It encourages developing the right attitude that recognizes God's ownership and trusting Him to supply our needs. It suggests our financial actions can indicate our love for God versus the world. The sermon presents God's principles for work, management, giving, and attitude toward wealth and promises blessings for obedience.
This document summarizes Dave Roberson's book "Grace Illustrated" which uses the parable of the prodigal son to illustrate the difference between relationship and fellowship with God. The elder brother in the parable based his relationship with his father on works rather than grace, failing to understand that his inheritance and ability to fellowship were given freely. Many Christians today make the same mistake, focusing on religious works over developing fellowship with God. True fellowship comes through understanding that salvation and all blessings are received by God's grace alone.
- Joshua gathered the leaders of Israel and reminded them to remain faithful to God as he had been faithful to them.
- Joshua warned that if the Israelites went back on their covenant with God and associated with the remaining pagan nations through marriage or other relationships, it would lead them to idolatry and ruin.
- Joshua knew he was nearing death, but his only concern was that the Israelites stay faithful to God to receive his blessings as promised. Breaking their covenant with God would bring curses instead.
The document is a message from the Rossville Church located in Rossville, Georgia inviting people to come worship with their small but friendly congregation. It discusses how Christians can have assurance of salvation through believing in Jesus Christ and resting on God's promises. It also explains that in order to have prayers answered, believers must ask according to God's will by studying the Bible and praying in the Spirit so God's will is known. When Christians pray in line with God's good will, they can have confidence their petitions will be granted so God may bless His children and be glorified through answering prayer.
The document provides guidance on how to read and study the Bible effectively. It recommends praying before reading to ask God for understanding, setting aside regular time for Bible study to develop a habit, and meditating on what is read to understand how the passage applies personally. Key tips include paying attention to context, cross-references, and whether a passage should be taken literally or figuratively. The overall goal of Bible study is to strengthen faith in Jesus Christ.

To truly calculate the cost, you must consider both the cost of action and the cost of inaction not only for the near term but in the long term. Jesus calls us to a decision. Choose wisely.
Jesus warns his disciples about hypocrisy among religious leaders and tells them not to fear those who can kill the body. He instructs them not to fear people as much as God, who has authority over both body and soul. Jesus promises to acknowledge before God those who acknowledge him before men, but those who deny him will be denied. The Holy Spirit will give disciples words to say when they are brought before leaders to defend their faith.
Jesus responds to those accusing him of casting out demons by Beelzebul by pointing out the logical flaws in their argument. He lays out that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand, and that if Satan is divided and casting people out of himself, his kingdom would collapse. Jesus further explains that if his exorcisms are by the power of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon them. He tells the crowds that whoever is not with him is against him. Jesus rebukes the generation seeking signs, saying the only sign given will be the sign of Jonah. He emphasizes the importance of hearing and keeping God's word for true blessing.
Jesus teaches his disciples about prayer in response to their request. He gives them a model prayer focusing on hallowing God's name, desiring his kingdom to come, and acknowledging dependence on him for daily provision and forgiveness. Jesus encourages prayer by reminding them of God's generosity like a father who provides for his children, and says God will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. He emphasizes making prayer a priority and having the right priorities in prayer, such as honoring God and trusting in his provision.
Martha welcomed Jesus into her home but became distracted serving Him, while her sister Mary sat at His feet listening to His teaching. Martha complained to Jesus that Mary wasn't helping her, but Jesus said Mary chose the better part by spending time with Him rather than being distracted by many tasks. The passage emphasizes the importance of sitting at Jesus' feet to listen to Him over being busy doing things for Him without truly focusing on Him.
The seventy-two disciples returned from their mission joyfully saying that even demons were subject to them in Jesus' name. Jesus tells them that he saw Satan fall from heaven and that they have been given authority over all the power of the enemy. He says to rejoice not that spirits are subject to them, but that their names are written in heaven. Jesus rejoices that God has revealed these things to the disciples and not the wise and understanding. All things have been handed over to Jesus by God and no one knows the Son except the Father. Jesus tells the disciples that many prophets and kings desired to see and hear what they have seen and heard.
Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.

Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1

Introduction
Mantra Yoga is an exact science. "Mananat trayate iti mantrah- by the Manana (constant thinking or recollection) of which one is protected or is released from the round of births and deaths, is Mantra." That is called Mantra by the meditation (Manana) on which the Jiva or the individual soul attains freedom from sin, enjoyment in heaven and final liberation, and by the aid of which it attains in full the fourfold fruit (Chaturvarga), i.e., Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. A Mantra is so called because it is achieved by the mental process.

Renewed in Grace
The Book of Revelation, filled with symbolic and apocalyptic imagery, presents one of its most striking visions in Revelation 9:3-12—the locust army. Understanding the significance of this locust army provides insight into the broader themes of divine judgment, protection, and the ultimate triumph of God’s will as depicted in Revelation.
Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.
PHASE-IV
The very deep experience of silence helps to expand from the 3 - dimensional awareness of the body to all pervasive awareness. The bed of silence becomes deeper and more expansive - an ocean of silence with waves on it merge into complete silence called Ajapa state of the mind. This silence is the source of Creativity, Power, Knowledge and Bliss.
PHASE V
From this deep ocean of silence in the heart region, let one OM emerge as an audible sound which diffuses into the entire body and the space all around. Enjoy the beautiful vibrations.
Blink the eyes slowly, gently open the eyes and come out of meditation.

1. Deuteronomy 17:14-15
When you enter the land the Lord your God
is giving you and have taken possession of
it and settled in it, and you say, ‘Let us set a
king over us like all the nations around us,’
be sure to appoint over you the king the
Lord your God chooses. He must be from
among your brothers. Do not place a
foreigner over you, one who is not a
brother Israelite.

2. Deuteronomy 17:16-17
The king, moreover, must not acquire great
numbers of horses for himself or make the
people return to Egypt to get more of
them, for the Lord has told you, ‘You are
not to go back that way again.’ He must
not take many wives, or his heart will be
led astray. He must not accumulate large
amounts of silver and gold.

3. Deuteronomy 17:18-19
When he takes the throne of his kingdom,
he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy
of this law, taken from that of the priests,
who are Levites. It is to be with him, and
he is to read it all the days of his life so that
he may learn to revere the Lord his God
and follow carefully all the words of this
law and these decrees

4. Deuteronomy 17:20
and not consider himself better than his
brothers and turn from the law to the right
or to the left. Then he and his descendants
will reign a long time over his kingdom in
Israel.

5. For BELIEVING the Bible
is the word of God, we
spend very little time
READING it.
Hearing God’s VOICE begins with opening
the book in which He has SPOKEN.
It’s fascinating how God can be a God
UNLIKE any other only to have a people who
long to be LIKE every other.
6. The battle is settling into the
LAND without settling into
its PRACTICES, which can
only be achieved by settling
into God’s WORD.
God’s word does not have an EXPIRATION
date.
The remedy for being uninformed or
misinformed is get INFORMED.
7. There is no credit
or benefit from
owning an
UNREAD Bible.
We can only know God to the EXTENT He
has revealed Himself and the MEASURE that
we become familiar with that revelation.
8. A broader understanding of the WHOLE of
the Bible enables you to enter into greater
DEPTH with particular texts and doctrines
Just because you are FAMILIAR with God’s
word doesn’t mean you will follow it, but
you cannot FOLLOW it if you are not first
familiar with it.
9. Please take a moment to fill out your
Communication Card
My Next Step Today is to:
( ) Do the home life help (in bulletin)
( ) Begin a Bible reading plan (any kind)
( ) Assess how I can get better informed
( ) Listen for God’s “voice” as I read His
Word
( ) Identify where I have settled for worldly
practices over adhering to God’s Word
