The first part lists prioritizing goals, knowing the audience, major points, and setting the tone. The second part recommends presenting goals and benefits, explaining the layout, and preparing the body and closing. The third part gives basic delivery tips such as making eye contact, speaking clearly without reading notes, varying speech, and standing comfortably without distracting hand movements.

4. Basic Guidelines for Delivery

 Eye Contact
 Talk to the audience, not your notes
 Speak loud, clear and slower than normal
conversation
 Vary volume and rate of speech, avoid monotone.
 Stand with feet shoulder width apart.
 Keep hands still – too much hand movement is a
distraction.
