Home care nursing involves looking after a sick person at home so they receive help from a caregiver. A good home nurse has qualities like caring for others, respect, honesty, courtesy, good communication skills, respect for privacy, dependability, working well with others, determination and flexibility, and eagerness to learn. Home nursing has advantages like making the patient feel secure, increasing confidence and independence, allowing preferences in food, minimizing disruption to usual tasks, being relatively inexpensive compared to hospitals, and helping reduce congestion in clinics and hospitals. Common complaints of home patients include breathing issues, coughs, asthma, sleeping problems, urinary issues, and agitation or aggression.
