Bald eagles have over 7,000 feathers that are rough and help them fly. Their talons are muscular and designed to carry prey like fish in flight. Bald eagles migrate south between December and March to warmer areas, and stay in northern regions between March and December. Eagles build enormous nests over multiple years, with pairs working together over 1-3 months to construct and add to nests.

3. Feathers like They have 7000 feathers. It’s hair and nails made of Keratin. Their feathers are rough. The feathers at the bottom are white and long. The feathers on the head are spiky .

4. Eyesight Young Bald eagles make mistakes like thinking a plastic bottle is a fish cause their Eyesight isn’t to good. They can see left and right while looking forward. They have Super eyesight

5. Talons Special feet owned by big birds. Talons are designed to carry things in flight. Talons have four muscular toes. The talons can carry fairly large fish.

6. Migrate Migrating is like moving a home to eagles. they move in the winter to a warmer home. It is like flying from place to place. They stay south from December to March. They stay in the north from March to December.

7. Nests Bald eagles have the record for the biggest nests ever built by bird…Or man!!! A pair of eagles work on a nest for 1 to 3 months. They reuse nests and build them bigger! They can carry on building the nest for years.
