SK Long Tarang holds an annual prize-giving day where they honor their top students. The guest of honor is usually the Chief Education Officer. The daylong event includes speeches, performances by the choir and dance groups, and the presentation of prizes to students. It concludes with the singing of the national anthem.

Mervin saw a kitten in a drain. “Meow, meow, meow.” The kitten mewed louder
trying to find its way out of the dirty drain.
As a kind boy, Mervin stopped his bicycle. He jumped into the drain and picked the
kitten up. He had soiled his white uniform. His mother would be mad at seeing his white
shirt being stained in mud.
Mervin took the kitten home. Before he entered his house, he washed himself near
