This document summarizes Azure Site Recovery and Azure Migrate tools for disaster recovery, migrations, and workload assessments. It discusses the drivers pushing customers to migrate to Azure, including reducing costs, freeing datacenter space, and improving cloud ROI. It then summarizes the key Azure tools for each stage of migration including assessment (Azure Migrate), replication (Azure Site Recovery), and data migration. Customers can assess over 5000 Hyper-V or 10000 VMware VMs and replicate workloads between on-premises and Azure with these tools. The presentation concludes with demonstrations of Azure Site Recovery functionality for disaster recovery between Hyper-V and Azure and a migration assessment using Azure Migrate.

Planning datacenter migrations can involve thousands of workloads and tens of thousands of servers and are often deeply interdependent. Application discovery and dependency mapping are important early first steps in the migration process, but difficult to perform at scale due to the lack of automated tools. AWS Application Discovery Service is a new service (coming soon) that automatically identifies data center applications and dependencies, and baselines application health and performance to help plan your application migration to AWS quickly and reliably. This talk introduces the new Application Discovery Service capabilities for simplifying the planning process for data center and large scale migrations to AWS. We will discuss how you can use the AWS Application Discovery Service data service to examine the applications running your data center, their attributes, and their dependencies and then use this information to help reduce the time, cost, and risk of migrating applications to AWS.

Azure Site Recovery is a cloud-based service that automates virtual machine fail-over across sites. The service integrates with Virtual Machine Manager which manages on-premises Hyper-V servers. Hyper-V Replica technology replicates virtual machine configuration and data across sites. Based on customer feedback, support for SAN replication is important. This session covers the scenarios in scope, solution architecture, and SAN integration using SMI-S.

Do you know that enterprises with more than half their business from cloud generate 1.6X more recurring revenue than other partners?
Enterprises are capitalizing on the growing cloud services market by building successful practices on Microsoft Azure, and are outperforming their peers by growing more quickly and profitably. Building a website is one such business initiative. In recent times, building a website has become easier with the new CMS available, but configuring it to be up and running was always a time consuming job. Microsoft Azure enables you to build, deploy and scale your website, while configuring the database and domain, providing the connection string, and setting up FTP account to upload your website.
Following topics are covered in this webinar
• Introduction to Cloud and Microsoft Azure Capabilities
• Overview & Pre-Requisites for Microsoft Azure Websites
• Free vs. Shared vs. Standard Websites
• Managing your Azure Websites: Preview portal & Command Line

f you offer a service on the web, odds are that someone will abuse it. Be it an API, a SaaS, a PaaS, or even a static website, someone somewhere will try to figure out a way to use it to their own needs. In this talk we'll compare measures that are effective against static attackers and how to battle a dynamic attacker who adapts to your counter-measures.

• HYPER-V TO AZURE

21. ARCHITECTURE AZURE-TO-AZURE
Replication process:
1. The Site Recovery Mobility service extension is
automatically installed on the VM.
2. The extension registers the VM with Site
Recovery.
3. Continuous replication begins for the VM. Disk
writes are immediately transferred to the
cache storage account in the source location.
4. Site Recovery processes the data in the cache,
and sends it to the target storage account, or
to the replica managed disks.
5. After the data is processed, crash-consistent
recovery points are generated every five
minutes. App-consistent recovery points are
generated according to the setting specified
in the replication policy.
22. ARCHITECTURE AZURE-TO-AZURE
Background:
This environment will consist of two Virtual Networks
deployed to your Primary and Secondary site with
an AD Domain, IIS Web Servers and Microsoft SQL
Servers that you will configure into a SQL Always On
Availability Group
Goal using Azure BC DR:
Your goal for this environment is to have the ability to
have a one-click failover process using Azure Site
Recovery in either direction. The users will have one
URL that they will use to connect to your application
regardless of where the application is running.
23. What does it do?
o Easily discovery of on-premises VMs
o Direct migration & test migrations
o Visualize dependencies to create move groups
o Insightful workload assessments:
o Azure Suitable analysis “editable”
o Right-sized Azure resources bases on utilization history
o Estimated monthly run cost in Azure
o Customize cost assessment – offers, workload uptime, Vm serie
o Support for VMWare “Agentless” NEW Hyper-V
o No Cost
AZURE MIGRATE
28. Summary
The ASR solution is not only one part of the DR/BC suite
Classifying workloads based on RTO/RPO needs
Azure Migrate bringing it all together in one portal from start to end
Defining a process around Disaster Recovery
Running DR drills at a regular cadence for compliance purposes
Forecasts, analyzes and mitigates specific threat vectors for targeted divisions in the organization
Concerns about security issues, like malware, ransomware, and intrusion, are increasing. These security issues
can be costly, in terms of both money and data & outage = Business continuity
