Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive cloud platform, offering over 165 services from data centers globally to millions of customers including startups, large enterprises, and government agencies. AWS has a global infrastructure spanning 22 geographical regions and 69 availability zones, and plans to expand to 25 regions and 78 availability zones, with new regions coming to Cape Town, Jakarta, and Milan. Customers are responsible for security in the cloud while AWS manages security of the cloud.
