The document proposes a design called the HLCM (Home Light Control Module) that uses a microprocessor and light sensors for automatic room light detection and control. The HLCM, installed in each light fixture of a home, uses a PIR sensor to detect human presence, a light sensor to measure light intensity, and an RF module to communicate between units. It can turn lights off when no one is present and maintain sufficient light by controlling fixtures based on the light sensor readings, reducing overall power consumption.
FIRE DETECTION AND ELETRICAL POWER ON/OFF CONTROL IN HOME/INDUSTRY USING GSMSaikiran Perfect
The idea behind this project is to use the existing GSM infrastructure. So, all the operations involve the GSM system also. As we send any SMS, it goes through the GSM system. Any sent SMS can be received if we use a SIM card and GSM module. To operate any GSM modem, we have to use the AT commands to operate them. For example, if any SMS arrives the GSM modem sends the serial data in ASCII format. We can read these data if we connect the modem with the serial port of the microcontroller at the baud rate of 9600. As the microcontroller comes to know that a SMS has been arrived, it can sent a proper AT command to read the SMS. The reading of SMS returns the mobile number of sender, the time and much more information. We have to select the SMS part of the message. The starting string of the SMS is used as the password. As the password is matched, then the SMS arrival is assumed to be valid by the microcontroller otherwise, it ignores the SMS. Working of “FIRE DETECTION AND ELETRICAL POWER ON/OFF CONTROL IN HOME/INDUSTRY USING GSM” is very simple.

DESIGN OF AN INTELLIGENT AND EFFICIENT LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEMEditor IJCATR
Recently, many researches has been carried out to save the energy in many aspects such
as producing a device which consumes very less energy or designing a system which helps to
reduce the power consumption using the existing devices. In this paper, a room light control system
is proposed which is named as light control system (LCS). This proposed system will able to
provide the needed light which provides the satisfaction of users and will provide energy saving
and management.
In this paper the Lighting Control System and the decision making algorithm, are
discussed. As per the algorithm the system will first check any occupant is there in the room. If so
then the system will check the intensity of light in the room and if it is low then it will switch on the
light.
Our proposed system can able to minimize the energy consumed for lighting in a room
and can able to provide it efficiently.
AUTOMATIC ROOM LIGHTING SYSTEM is very effective project on a large scale because of the conservation of energy and electricity.
I think that it should have large scale production by multinational companies like TATA etc.
Thankyou for the visit!.
Human presence detection based room light controller using pir2.pptx [repaired]nikhilsinghia
Intelligent Energy Saving System can be used in places like where lighting is very important. The libraries will be well illuminated with many lamps. When people are not present at a reading place the lighting can be made OFF and when they are present, the lighting made ON. All these can be done through by Dimming circuit and PIR sensor.
If a person entering to the monitored area, the PIR sensors activates and sense the person, gives to the micro controller. The Infrared energy emitted from the living body is focused by a Fresnel lens segment. Then only the PIR sensor activates. After sensing the person LDR checks the light intensity of the monitored area, whether it is bright or dark. Depending on the LDR output, the lamp may be ON / OFF by using Dimmer circuit.
By using this system we can adjust the speed of Fan according to the room temperature measured by Thermostat, which is connected to the micro controller. To display the room temperature of PIR mode operation we are using the LCD display.
This presentation talks about the lighting sensors and various types of light sensors. it states various methods to control light automatically. It includes the information about the Lighting Control Sensor Technologies. Also, its usage and importance in today's world.

Wireless-sensor-network-based home monitoring system for elderly activity behaviour involves functional assessment of daily activities. In this paper, we report a mechanism for estimation of elderly well-being condition based on usage of house-hold appliances connected through various sensing units. We define a two new wellness functions to determine the status of the elderly on performing essential daily activities. The modernized system for monitoring and evaluating the essential daily activities was tested at homes for four different elderly persons living alone and the results are encouraging in determining wellness of the elderly.
A motion detector is a device that contains a motion sensor that detects moving objects and transforms the detection of motion into an electric signal.
The detector is often integrated as a component of a system that automatically performs a task or alerts a user of motion in an area. Motion detectors form a vital component of security, automated lighting control, home control, energy efficiency, and other useful systems.
Analysis and Construction of a Robot controlled by a Universal Remote ControlIJERD Editor
This paper aims at controlling a robot that is a tank like vehicle using a universal infrared remote
control. The infrared signal sent from the universal infrared remote control is received by IR receiver and
decoded by the microcontroller PIC16F873A using an algorithm embedded in the microcontroller. The output
from the microcontroller is fed to the motor driver which drives the left and right motors. The robot‟s motor
control can be speed controlled by using PWM/PDM (Pulse Width Modulation/ Pulse Duration Modulation)

This paper presents the design of an Adaptive Light Dimmer based on the method of sensingambient light content to adjust lamp's light intensity accordingly, and thus regulating the room's light content. The device is designed to work with renewable energy sources such as wind and solar energy. This would be useful in less developed countries where AC electricity is not well spread and renewable DC sources, such as solar, can be better utilized. It functions by using the TSL2561 light sensor, ATTiny85 microcontroller to output PWM to the LED driver, LT3795 LED driver to output current to an LED and LT3014 LDO to lower the input voltage and power the microcontroller and sensor. The dimmer is designed to work with a 48V input voltage and operate from an input light range of 20 to 100 Lux. Above 100 Lux the light is off and below 20 Lux the light is fully on.
Automatic room light intensity detection and control using a microprocessor and light sensors
1. AUTOMATIC ROOM LIGHT INTENSITY DETECTION AND
CONTROL USING A MICROPROCESSOR AND LIGHT
SENSORS
ABSTRACT
In this paper we propose a design using both a microprocessor and light sensors for automatic
room light detection and control. Our design, the HLCM (Home Light Control Module) which
will be installed in every light fixture of a family, is made up of four blocks: the pyro electric
infrared (PIR) sensor circuit, the light sensor circuit, the microprocessor and the RF module.
By using the PIR sensor circuit, the HLCM detects if a human body enters the detection area or
not. If there is no human body present, all controlled lights are turned off. If there is, the HLCM
detects the light intensity under the environment and maintains sufficient light by controlling the
number of lights.
We have also integrated an RF module to transmit and receive the data from each HLCM so we
can control different lights in different regions. The result of using the HLCM shows that the
total power consumption can be reduced
