This document proposes an automated control system to detect air pollution from vehicles. The system would use semiconductor sensors at the vehicle's emission outlets to detect pollutant levels, indicate the levels on a meter, and stop the vehicle if the pollution threshold is breached. When the threshold is breached, the vehicle would buzz to notify the driver and be given time to park before fuel is cut off. During this time, GPS would locate the nearest service station for the vehicle to be towed to for repairs. A microcontroller would synchronize and monitor the entire process.
