To have clean hands and a pure heart as Christians requires repentance from sin, obedience to God's commands, and purification of both outward actions and inward thoughts. Several Bible passages warn that Israel failed to reach God despite being his chosen people because they were not clean in his sight due to sin. Similarly, Christians must stop sinning, wash themselves clean through faith and obedience, and purify both their hands and hearts in order to one day see God. Having only outwardly clean hands while inwardly remaining full of wickedness is hypocritical. True cleanliness comes from changing one's heart as well as deeds.

One Vote Age Of Anxity
In a 1968 essay, anthropologist Margaret Mead argued that anxiety has replaced more direct fears in modern societies due to advances in technology and equity. Where people once feared violence, hunger, and other immediate dangers, anxiety now stems from an uncertain future and changing social conditions. Mead saw anxiety as a sign of progress rather than something to be eliminated, as it indicates relative safety and opportunity. However, her view that anxiety could be diminished through acceptance of human mortality seems naïve today given how modern anxieties are often rooted in trivial daily concerns rather than an existential confrontation with death.

- Autism affects 1 in 110 children in the US, totaling around 1.5 million people, with tens of millions affected worldwide. Boys are 4 times more likely to be diagnosed than girls.
- Autism impairs social communication and interaction. It exists on a spectrum with varying levels of ability. Some autistic people have difficulties with senses or behaviors.

THE PROFESSIONAL AUTISM PROJECT WEDNESDAY 17TH AUGUST 2016.
The Professional Autism Project held its 26th weekly meeting at the Queen Street Resource Centre. They finished writing up notes from their last meeting with Kevin Bond and a review of a book on mental health for the autism spectrum. Andy Kay nominated the project for a community award from the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. Members discussed promoting the Positively Autistic Community Organisation by distributing recordings of their radio show on CD and doing a promotional article in the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. They received approval for these ideas and may also approach a local TV station. Over 60 people have nominated them for the community award since it was announced on their websites.
THE PROFESSIONAL AUTISM PROJECT TUESDAY 9TH AUGUST 2016.
The Professional Autism Project had its 25th successive week working at the Queen Street Resource Centre. They were working on incorporating an extract from a book into a new ASC Hands Logo action plan. The meeting with their first confidential contact went well and they have plans in place for the rest of 2016. The action plan is progressing slowly but surely. The newsletter is on hold due to a busy workload. Other organizations have asked to collaborate with the project and support those on the autism spectrum, which was met with pride as the project has been very successful. Funding applications are still being worked on and money is being saved weekly to fund a professional display board. A donation pot is needed to safely store the funding money.
THE PROFESSIONAL AUTISM PROJECT MEETING FRIDAY 3RD AUGUST 2016.
The Professional autismproject met with a new contact from the NorthEast Lincolnshire Volunteer Bureau to discuss supporting autistic students transitioning from school to college and employment. The contact said many parents are frustrated by the lack of support for their autistic children preparing for their futures. The autism project representative presented their work and credentials to the contact, who was impressed and agreed to help promote collaboration between the organizations to better serve the autism community. They plan to meet again after the contact reviews provided autism information.
POSITIVELY AUTISTIC RADIO SHOW NOTES FROM JEANETTE' S SHOW,
Jeanette welcomed listeners to her radio show where she and Sarah discussed issues around support for those on the autism spectrum. They talked about the need for mental health professionals to have specific training and expertise in autism to better meet the needs of those on the spectrum. They also discussed the importance of emergency services receiving autism training so they can appropriately communicate with autistic individuals during emergencies.
AUTISM POSTER
This event is for parents and carers of children and young people on the autism spectrum. It will be held on October 20th from 1-3pm at the Louth Town Hall. The cost is £10 per family up to 3 people. Two nationally recognized experts, Manar Matusiak and Len Brazier, will speak about understanding rights under the law, navigating the school support system, and options for support outside of school. Manar will discuss legal rights and types of support while Len will cover how the special needs system in local authorities works and how to overcome common problems parents face.

Sara Scrimshaw joined Jeanette Purkis on her radio show Positively Autistic to discuss Sara's new autism chat show and the exciting developments around autism support in the UK. They talked about recent visits they made to NHS providers who were impressed with the professional quality of their work. Government cuts have reduced services for many on the autistic spectrum who now rely primarily on the Positively Autistic Community Organization for professional and confidential support. Jeanette also discussed her new book aimed at helping NHS professionals and other agencies better support those on the autism spectrum.

The professional autism project had its 18th weekly meeting at the Queenstreet Resource Centre on May 31st. The project continues to work hard. Andy was impressed with the constructive meetings they had last week with Focus adult social care and Navigo. They are looking forward to their upcoming meeting with Scartho Medical Centre on June 3rd. The project has started work on an autism sensory profiling leaflet and questionnaire. Andy is also working on an autism hands logo action plan. They reviewed sections of the autism sensory profiling questionnaire that Andy felt captured the key areas well. The meeting covered progress made from the prior week's work.

The Professional Autism Project had its 15th successful week continuing its sensory profiling work for autism. Andy and I reviewed previously listed suggestions for our sensory profiling work and created a draft document called "Dealing With Sensory Issues" that incorporated choices from the list. The document discussed how sensory issues can vary in severity and affect individuals differently, such as sensitivity to lights, smells, or sounds. It also suggested professional strategies for preventing sensory overload, such as clipping words, desensitizing individuals to environments gradually, and working with occupational therapists.

They are also preparing for an upcoming adult social care awards ceremony, hoping to win an award to recognize their hard work with the Professional Autism Project.

They also kicked off their Positive Autism Ribbon campaign ahead of World Autism Awareness Day. The project leaders met to discuss bullet points from a drama about autism, choosing four to incorporate into a new autism logo action plan focusing on acceptance, communication issues, community awareness, and treating autistic individuals with respect. Additional material on living with autism was deemed to require more clinical research expertise before being considered for the plan.

An important meeting was held with Andy Kay to begin developing the first Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Hands logo action plan. The Positively Autistic Community Organisation and Professional Autism Project have several new exciting autism projects coming up, including an Autism Awareness campaign.
