Andy Kay nominated the project for a community award from the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. Members discussed promoting the Positively Autistic Community Organisation by distributing recordings of their radio show on CD and doing a promotional article in the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. They received approval for these ideas and may also approach a local TV station. Over 60 people have nominated them for the community award since it was announced on their websites.

They were working on incorporating an extract from a book into a new ASC Hands Logo action plan. The meeting with their first confidential contact went well and they have plans in place for the rest of 2016. The action plan is progressing slowly but surely. The newsletter is on hold due to a busy workload. Other organizations have asked to collaborate with the project and support those on the autism spectrum, which was met with pride as the project has been very successful. Funding applications are still being worked on and money is being saved weekly to fund a professional display board. A donation pot is needed to safely store the funding money.

The contact said many parents are frustrated by the lack of support for their autistic children preparing for their futures. The autism project representative presented their work and credentials to the contact, who was impressed and agreed to help promote collaboration between the organizations to better serve the autism community. They plan to meet again after the contact reviews provided autism information.

Manar will discuss legal rights and types of support while Len will cover how the special needs system in local authorities works and how to overcome common problems parents face.

Joe and I professionally created an informational leaflet about autism that was electronically distributed to relevant healthcare professionals for professional and promotional purposes. The leaflet was also promoted professionally on social media pages and forums. Our contact information is included on the leaflet in hopes of professionally supporting both our autism project and community organization through interested NHS professionals and outside agencies.

The Professional Autism Project had its second successful week. Andy Kay and the author will meet next week to professionally laminate documents for Hospital Radio that they had hoped to complete last week. They will also continue working on a four-piece newsletter logo that they have been developing professionally since 2015/2016. The author's professional autism work has been distributed across the country and mounted in his bedroom for promotional purposes to interest local NHS services in becoming involved with the important work of the Professional Autism Project and Positively Autistic Community Organisation.
The document describes an information card created in 2015 by Positively Autistic Community Organisation for officially trained Autism Advocates. The cards were professionally laminated to look professional and of high quality. The laminated cards were promoted on Facebook, which generated interest due to the professional design. The cards will now be distributed at local Autism events and to some university students and tutors to generate further awareness.
