This document discusses key concepts in information systems and technology infrastructure. It defines basic units like bits and bytes, and describes the evolution of IT infrastructure from mainframes to personal computers to client/server systems and cloud computing. It outlines the main components of an IT infrastructure including hardware, software, networks, data storage and integration services. Finally, it differentiates between proprietary and open source software models.

Telecom Infrastructure joined with American Tower, Integrated Building Technologies, CopperTree Analytics, BCM One and Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. for a presentation called "Smart Buildings: Technology Innovations to Maximize ROI for the Building Owner/Manager" which was focused on smart building technology and maximizing ROI. The event took place at The New York Yacht Club in New York, NY on Thursday, October 22, 2015.
This presentation is entitled Intelligent Network Services and was given by Chris Haydon of BCM One
The current landscape of Internet of Things (IoT) applications is extremely fragmented because we are still experimenting to discover the correct mix for our respective markets. Unfortunately in the IoT world, one solution does not fit all.We need much more clarity in understanding the challenges of IoT application development, both in terms of technical feasibility as well as business opportunities. In our talk we present a toolkit approach towards accelerating IoT applications by leveraging modular components that can effectively accelerate go to market for end solutions.

Industrial IoT Mayhem? Java IoT Gateways to the RescueEurotech
Industrial IoT comes with great expectations for operational efficiency, promising improved asset utilization and productivity gains. IIoT challenges include reliability, security, low maintenance, long lifecycle, and integration into heterogeneous and fragmented systems. This session proposes some architectural patterns that can be leveraged to overcome these challenges. It introduces, at the center of the solution, Java-powered IoT gateways and modular IoT application frameworks such as the open source Eclipse Kura. Incorporating a live demonstration, the presentation highlights some of the latest Eclipse Kura features such as a pluggable device model for fieldbus protocols, visual data flow, and connectivity across various IoT cloud service providers.

The industrial internet of things (IIoT) sometimes called Industry 4.0 – is radically changing how businesses, especially industrial companies, operate.
Let’s begin with a short IIoT definition:
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) refers to the vast number of machines and devices – or ‘things’ – a business uses that are now connected to the Internet. Protecting this critical operational data, secure IIoT forms a closed, private Internet network where the devices can communicate and share data with other people, systems, and things. This data can be used to improve existing work practices and business processes as well as creating entirely new ways of doing things.

Billions of interconnected devices that are connected to the internet in the IoT (Internet of Things) will produce astronomical amount of data to process. The amount of data can easily overload the cloud computing resources at the back-end IT systems. With Fog (or Edge) computing, the problem can be eased by allowing smart devices (e.g., smartphones, PCs, set-top boxes) at the edge of the IoT networks.
The Internet of Things: Impact on Business and Tech-Forward Concepts Klika Tech, Inc
Many IoT advancements hold the promise of better-connected consumer products and more-efficient business processes. However, attention should be paid to three concepts already proving their value for improved customer experiences, operational excellence, and new revenue streams.
There are the following ones:
- Fog & edge architecture,
- LPWAN,
- Realtime OTA.
Each of these concepts are becoming the IoT applications that are set to transform the customer experience and deliver the strongest benefits to myriad businesses. For more details see our presentation.

In the Adani-Hindenburg case, what is SEBI investigating.pptxAdani case
Adani SEBI investigation revealed that the latter had sought information from five foreign jurisdictions concerning the holdings of the firm’s foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) in relation to the alleged violations of the MPS Regulations. Nevertheless, the economic interest of the twelve FPIs based in tax haven jurisdictions still needs to be determined. The Adani Group firms classed these FPIs as public shareholders. According to Hindenburg, FPIs were used to get around regulatory standards.
