3. “Augmented reality is seeing the real world
through a virtual filter which is developed but
computer aided graphics”
4. virtual continuum is a continuous scale ranging from
reality and virtuality.
The area between the two extremes, where both the
real and the virtual are mixed, is called mixed reality.
The concept was first introduced by Paul Milgram.
5. Working of Augmented Reality
1.Collecting real data (input devices like
cameras,sensors).
2.Analyzing the geometrical orientation of
the device.
3.Using computer vision and image recognition
technology to analyze the collected data.
4. Designing appropriate graphics which are to be
augmented with to the real input.
7. DISPLAYS
We are going to take a
revolutionary step with our
displays due to Augmented
Reality.
The way we interact with
technology is completely
going to change with the
augmented reality.
9. Hand held devices
Hand held devices contain basic hardware
required for Augmented Reality
They offer good experience of the augmented reality
but not completely immersive
These devices will be the devices on which
augmented reality will be hitting first
10. Head up displays
Head up displays provide the best immersive augmented reality
experience
concentration on the view points without need of looking elsewhere
for the data
Caliberates 6 degrees of freedom of motion
11. Contact lens
AR contact lens are purely immersive and futuristic technology which
is under development
It is highly immersive because it is placed very close to retina of our
eye
