Shafaah & Jenna
Do you think the product is
   typical of a music video?
 Judging by the answers
given to us by our peers it
 obvious that our music
video is in fact a typical Yes
 example of the music No

 video genre.

“there were a variety of shots and
it kept me entertained throughout”
Does it break away from the
 usual conventions of a music
 video? If yes then how?
Again our music video is
viewed as following the
conventions of its genre,
how ever we would have
thought that the simplicity Yes
of it would have made it No
break away ever so
slightly.

“not really, however liked the
narrative concept”
Did the pace of the video
  match that of the song?

Many of our class mates did
believe that the pace of our
music video matched that of
the song, how ever a select
few did not have the same Yes
views as every one else. No

“it could have gone faster”
                     “not really, no…”
Name an interesting element
of the music video
When asked to
name interesting
elements from our Lighting

product our Greenscreening
                                                    Editing
audience were Range of shots
much more Location
elaborative in their Performance

answers.

“the lighting was quality!”
“I liked the range of shots… fast paced through out, bravo!”
Could the video be stronger?
    If yes how?
Admittedly the lip syncing had
gone slightly out of sync due different location

to a glitch with the editing, so more outfits

the need to alter that was lip syncing
                                   more shots
already in mind. The need for backing dancers
“more backing dancers” and faster editing
“prettier/more outfits” shows
that the explanation of our
Urban Down to Earth Pop
brand image wasn’t taken
into consideration.
Does the genre of the song tie
 in with the music video?
The majority of our audience
believed that there was a
strong link between the music
video and our chosen song’s
genre. A select few did not
                                  yes
due to the editing not being no
“fast enough”. How ever in my
opinion and the opinion of
most of the audience the
music video and song genre
worked very well together

     “Yes, brilliantly!”
Conclusion…
In retrospect I believe that our audience gave
some very sound feedback, which helped us to
understand just how much we could do to
make a product much stronger. Although we
appreciated the comments some were just not
adequate, the whole of feedback was for the
audience to tell us what they wanted not simply
give us yes and no answers which in the long
run made it much more difficult for Jenna and I
to actually understand what our audience as a
whole needed from our product.
