Audacity TutorialThe Best Teacher
BrainstormMy first instinct was to just read my original story from Unit One aloud for Audacity. The first draft, I read the story aloud, but it didn’t seem to get any of my main points across
Redo! After class on Monday I had a lot of ideas of what I wanted to do with my production.I knew I wanted it to be a personal PSAI knew I wanted it to sound like a commercialI thought that if I did a PSA/Commercial format that I would be able to reach my audience more easily.I knew that they would have clearer idea of what action to take.
The new storyAfter deciding what I wanted to do with my story, I wrote a scriptI incorporated my personal story of my brother with the rest of my production - Opening	- My story of family connection	- Closing, and recommended action
The Final ProductMy production ended up being about a minute and half. That’s 30 seconds shorter than I would have liked it to be.I think it works despite the shortness of it because its short, sweet, and to the point.I believe that this production could definitely motivate someone to become closer to their families.
Tips!Think, Think, ThinkExperiment!Try different formats for your story. It could be a PSAIt could be a commercialIt could be just you, reading your story aloud, if that’s what works
Tips (continued)DON’T wait until the last minute to get your act togetherDO start early, make a list of ideasDON’T do your story when you’re tired, you’re voice will sound froggy! (RIBBIT!)DO create your production when you’re well rested, and happy. If you’re tired and sad, you will sound tired and sad. 
The End!
