1) Hope/Optimism
2) Truthfulness/Honesty
3) Patience
4) Humility/Modesty
HONESTY
HONESTY
The Prophet Muhammad once gathered all the people of
Mecca and asked them,
“O people of Mecca! If I say that an army is
advancing on you from behind the mountains,
will you believe me?”
All said in one voice,
“Yes, because we have never heard you telling a
lie.”
All the people, without exception, swore to his
truthfulness and honesty because he had lived an
unblemished and extremely pious life among them for
forty years.
HONESTY
And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the
truth while you know [it].
Surat Al-Baqarah 2:42
“O you who believe! Fear God, and be with those who
are true (in word and deeds).”
(Quran 9:119)
HONESTY
“Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and
righteousness leads to Paradise. In addition, a
man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a
truthful person. Falsehood leads to wickedness
and evil-doing, and wickedness leads to the
(Hell) Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till
he is written before God, as a liar”.
(Saheeh Al-Bukhari)
Honesty In all Religions
1 - KEEP YOUR CONSCIENCE CLEAR.
CHRISTIANITY. 1 PETER 3. 16
2-ONE SHOULD UTTER THE TRUTH.
BUDDHISM. DHAMMAPADA 224
3 -LET YOUR CONDUCT BE MARKED BY TRUTHFULNESS IN
WORD, DEED, AND THOUGHT.
HINDUISM. TAITTIRIYA UPANISHAD 1 . 1 1 . 1
4-THE SEAL OF GOD IS TRUTH.
JUDAISM. TALMUD, SHABBAT 5 5
OPTIMISM
OPTIMISM
Almighty said,
"Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the
Mercy of Allah. for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
Almighty says,
"So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true
in Faith.“
[Al'Imran: The House of 'Imran: 139]
“Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear…” (Qur’an, 2:286).
Don’t get stuck on the negative thoughts . That hardship, that difficulty is absolute
test. Allah has strategically put you there. He wouldn’t have allowed it if you
couldn’t handle it.
OPTIMISM
The Prophet said:
"You should have good hope with Allah
till your death-bed.“
The Prophet also said in a Hadith-e-
Qudsi:
"I treat my servant the way he feels
about me."

THE BHAGAVAD GITA
PATIENCE
PATIENCE
Patience is a great positive behavior, its importance
was not known to scholars until recently, but Allah
Almighty made the reward for patience entrance
of paradise without measure.
"…those who patiently persevere will truly receive a
reward without measure!"
[Az-Zumar: The Troops: 10]
If you bear the difficulties in life with patience and remain
conscious of Allah, He promises a way out for you:
“For indeed, with hardship comes ease.” (94:5)
PATIENCE
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
"Strange is the affair of the Mumin (the
believer), verily all his affairs are good for
him. If something pleasing befalls him he
thanks (Allah) and it becomes better for
him. And if something harmful befalls him
he is patient (Sabir) and it becomes better
for him. And this is only for the Mumin.“
[Muslim]
Patience In all Religions
Luke 8:15
“… As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast
in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.”
Romans 2:6-7
He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in
well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life…
JUDIASM
"Woe to the pampered one who has never been trained to be patient. Either today
or in the future he is destined to sip from the cup of affliction." -- Rabbi M. M.
Leffin,Cheshbon ha-Nefesh
HUMBLENESS
Humbleness
“Let he who believes in God and the Last
Day either speak good or keep silent”
(Saheeh Muslim)
Be moderate in your tread and lower your
voice. The most hateful of voices is the
donkey’s bray.
(Surah Luqman, 19) Allah states in the Quran;
‘‘Do not walk upon the Earth with pride, you
can neither pierce through the Earth nor
reach the height of the mountains”
Humbleness
Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H)
“Whosoever has in his heart, even an atom
of pride he will not enter paradise.”
"Even if you do not commit any sins, I fear
that you may fall into something which is
worse: pride! pride!“
Humbleness In all Religions
Jewish Proverb
A bird that you see may be caught again, but a word that
escapes your lips will not return.
The Bhagavad Gita
“Hell has three hates: lust, anger and greed.”
“The mind acts like an enemy for those who do not control
it.”
