Analyze the Learners
This class is made up of 21 11th grade students. 15 of the students are Caucasian, 5 African American,
and 1 student is Asian. There are no diagnosed learning disabilities in this class and no behavioral
disorders.

State the Objective
The students will learn about the war in the European theater and the U.S. involvement in the war. The
students will know with 95% accuracy the main players in the war in Europe and who their leaders are
by the end of the class.

Select the 3 M’s
Method: The students will start with a discussion of the war in Europe. Then the students will like the
page “A History of World War II Podcast. The students will listen to one of the podcasts of their
choosing and write a short response to the podcast.
Media Format: Students will use laptop computers and headphones to listen to the podcasts. Students
will also use facebook to have a discussion of WW2 in Europe.
Materials: Students will each need a laptop and a set of headphones. The students will also need a
facebook account and a notebook for their response to the podcast.

Utilize Media and Materials
The students will use their laptops to go onto the facbeook page and find a podcast of their choosing
pertaining to WW2 in Europe. The students will then write a response to the podcast that they heard.
They will have to summarize what they heard in under 45 words.

Require Learner Participation
The students will be active because they are the ones who are going onto the facebook page and
listening to the podcast. They will be the ones who are writing the summary of what they heard.

Evaluate and Revise
The students will take a quiz over the war in Europe and who the major players were. Also they will turn
their podcast response pages into me which I will use as an evaluation.
