Art is the expression, application, or depiction of creative ability and creativity via
visual media such as painting and sculpture. The artists have made significant contributions
to society via their work, which has resulted in a sea shift in how people see real-world
events. Nonetheless, art brings silent ideas to life and allows them to be interpreted by the rest

in New York. Using pathos, the author appeals to our emotions by stating the ways art has
been underscoring in modern America. The author appeals to our feelings when passing
through her arguments on the importance of art in people's lives, specifically in politics. She
wants us to feel how she thinks about how art has lost its value in a modernized society. Here,
the author paints a vivid picture of how she dwelled into teaching, she needed people to "be
impacted by the theatre" (Checker and Fishman, 57). She constantly reminds us of why art
should still be embraced even after the evolution of museums and the gallery system. "This
work has underscored the many contradictions between our artistic ideas and how they have
been institutionalized since the modern era, brilliantly accounting for the art world I
experienced, with all its dissatisfactions" (Checker and Fishman, 53). Artists raised concerns
about funding organizations' propensity to quantify economic outcomes rather than recognize
aesthetic and social worth when evaluating creative initiatives piqued the author's attention.
The author uses pathos and introduces a fair share of life examples and writings to

Traditional Asian artists intended to evoke meditative contemplation through visual imagery using atmospheric perspective, placement, and asymmetry. Eastern works also stress a reverence for nature and often include calligraphy or poetry as part of the primary subject. What ideas do European landscapes of the same time period convey?

Visiting a Museum
It makes sense to approach a museum the way a seasoned traveler approaches visiting a city for the first time. Find out what is available to see. In the museum, find out what sort of exhibitions are currently housed in the museum and start with the exhibits that interest you. If there is a travelling exhibition, it’s always a good idea to see it while you have the chance. Then, if you have time, you can look at other things in the museum.

Art is the expression, application, or depiction of creative ability and creativity via
visual media such as painting and sculpture. The artists have made significant contributions
to society via their work, which has resulted in a sea shift in how people see real-world
events. Nonetheless, art brings silent ideas to life and allows them to be interpreted by the rest

through her arguments on the importance of art in people's lives, specifically in politics. She
wants us to feel how she thinks about how art has lost its value in a modernized society. Here,
the author paints a vivid picture of how she dwelled into teaching, she needed people to "be
impacted by the theatre" (Checker and Fishman, 57). She constantly reminds us of why art
should still be embraced even after the evolution of museums and the gallery system. "This
work has underscored the many contradictions between our artistic ideas and how they have
been institutionalized since the modern era, brilliantly accounting for the art world I

It makes sense to approach a museum the way a seasoned traveler approaches visiting a city for the first time. Find out what is available to see. A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Your subject may come from any of the genres of cultural production we’ve discussed: literature, art, film, theatre, dance, food, fashion, design, architecture, advertising, the list goes on. Make an argument for why these works are interesting, thought- provoking, and moving. It is important that you choose something not merely because you like it, but because you feel there is something there to explore intellectually, something meaningful to say or discover about it. Keep in mind our discussions of what culture does for us, what we do with it, and why we seek it out. Think about cultural objects and activities as the free and creative response to life in a given society and time, or to some of the conditions of human life generally. Remember that art involves a marriage of meaning and form. That is, we don’t just care what art means or says, we care how that meaning has been created or constructed. In artworks, arguments and ideas are always embodied in form. Past papers have considered a trio films depicting the Holocaust, visual art concerned with the effects of technology on modern society, the depiction of romantic love in Korean soap operas. The possibilities are vast. The important thing is to clearly connect ideas and questions to the works of culture. Your own voice and mind should lead the way as you interpret, analyze, and describe. Avoid at all costs a paper that dumps a lot of information or biography on the reader.
- 2. The essay will be five pages, following the normal formatting guidelines. Any external language, ideas, and information must be cited using MLA style. See schedule for due dates.
