13. This Sonic Weld RX video is a brief description of the procedure I
preformed on Arthur, minus the immediate implant placement.

14. DOS: 2/9/2012 – Sonic Weld RX was preformed to fill in the bony
defects in sites of missing teeth 7 & 10.
• Sonic Weld RX Alveolar Shell Size – 7 x 2.5 x 0.1 mm
• Sonic Weld RX Pin Size – 1.6 x 5 mm
• Allosorb Mineralized Cortical & Cancellous Bone Graft material
was utilized
• Plasma Rich Fibrin (PRF) – which is derived from the
concentration of a patient’s own blood platelets and their own
infection fighting white blood cells. PRF encourages rapid
healing so patients can have their implant or bone graft finished
as soon as possible.
• A Horizontal Mattress Suture and an Interrupted Suture was
placed using Cytoplast PTFE 4.0 White Monofilament
Nonabsorbable Suture material

15. Removed Upper Bridge to expose sites where we will begin the
Sonic Weld RX procedure in sites of missing teeth 7 & 10.

21. Sonic Weld RX pins (Size 1.6 x 5 mm) are being placed by using ultrasound
vibrations to drive the pins into the pilot holes for site of missing tooth 10.

22. The Sonic Weld RX pins (Size 1.6 x 5 mm) are placed on both the Mesial
and Distal sides of the bony defect area in site of missing tooth 10.

23. Sonic Weld RX Alveolar Shell Size – 7 x 2.5 x 0.1 mm after welded to Sonic Weld RX
pins (Size 1.6 x 5 mm) and the socket was filled with Allosorb Mineralized Cortical &
Cancellous Bone Graft Material, in site of missing tooth 10.

missing tooth 10, to encourage rapid healing.
