Welcome to the 
Art Room! 
You will have the opportunity to learn and work 
with many different media. We have an awesome art 
room and many ways of creating art. We will look at 
and talk about major works/styles of art, as well as 
create your own. Here are some rules in the art room 
at GMS
Be respectful- 
• to our room 
(keep it clean), 
• to our supplies 
(use tools as they were 
intended only) 
• and to each other (keep hands, 
feet, and objects to yourself).
Be prepared: 
• Get the necessary supplies 
and get working. 
• When you finish, clean up 
after yourself.
Be on time: 
• If you are not in the 
classroom when the last 
bell rings, you are tardy. 
• After the 3rd tardy, you will 
have a detention.
Be Ready: 
• We will do lots of projects this year. 
• Don’t waste time while you’re here. 
• Come ready to work & with a creative 
mind.
Grades: 
Participation/Work- 50% 
Behaviour/Attitude- 20 % 
Exams/Tests/Skill- 30% 
( Skill is indicated as the ability to 
perform tasks required, not the 
artistic talent)
